How to listen to SHINee again?

I know it's not the same thing AT ALL, but I haven't listened to any 2ne1 music since before their disbandment... idk even if it's a upbeat song I feel down.

I guess there will be a time when we can associate good feelings to those songs again, hopefully. But don't force yourself

I started with their Tokyo dome high energy performances and just let those take me away, from there I've listened to select Jonghyun songs (nothing too sad or intense). Listening to their over the past three days has helped me.

Personally I cope better by just trying to avoid everything SHINee, but I do know that once I am ready I would like to go through their whole discography again as I want to remember him, and SHINee, in a positive light.

Also, you can maybe try to start at their variety shows --- they have many golden moments that will make you smile and laugh ^.^

I can listen to SHINee fine (maybe not ballads, I haven't gone there yet), but I've been hesitant on checking out/reviewing Jonghyun's solo stuff. ohdearplz.png

I'm kind of emotionless anyways though.

I did burst out crying when 'Don't Let Me Go' started playing in my playlist though ohdearplz.png . Beautiful song.

Oh man. That's one of my faves.

if you're not ready then don't force yourself, it's ok to take a break

but i personally just tell myself that im sure jonghyun would want us to listen to his and shinee's music

music was his life after all, and what artist wouldn't want you to listen to their songs

If you're not ready, I wouldn't force it. In time you may feel okay with listening to their music..

For me, it's not the same as it used to be. I've listened to some SHINee songs since his passing, but I can't listen to any of ballads (and most of my favorite songs from them were their ballads). It's easier to watch the MVs personally, because it filled me with memories of being a Shawol and how Jonghyun honestly helped me to get through some hard times (like I could always smile when he performed, even if I was extremely sad). But I noticed that I've been paying more attention to him, even when he's on the end of the screen, because even if I didn't know him personally, I do miss him. He was one of my favorite members. So, maybe you can try their videos or performances? I found it easier than just listening to them.

I can't watch any of his solo MVs yet though. It's honestly too hard and I felt like crying when Lonely came on. Even though the day after I found out about his passing, I listened to all of his albums straight through. Somehow it helped me cope at that time, even if it's too hard for me to listen now.

Sorry this is long.

Listen to whatever makes you feel good. It may not be SHINee, but you don't have to feel bad if it isn't. I'm not a super hardcore stan, but even I couldn't listen for 2-3 days after. But as casual as I am,I listen to Real, A-Yo, Replay and Obsession these days to get me back into listening slowly.

If you really don't want to get emotional, then just wait until you feel ready to listen to them again.

For me personally, listening to them and letting the emotions out helped more than avoiding them. Letting myself cry with the sad songs actually helped me to feel better. It got to be too much, I would switch to their/his happier songs.
