How do you stop over thinking and being pessimistic

well i write about it. i don't think about what im writing and i don't read over it, but i'll jot down pages upon pages of my feelings.

and then i talk to people. i usually don't reveal too much, but it's nice to communicate with people.

and then i exercise. i like running and cycling most, but pushups are really good at making me stop thinking (bc my upper body strength is so bad i literally have to focus on breathing lmao).

the moment i feel like i get sadder and melancholic i get up and clean my room, make some tea, take a shower and open some window in my room to get some fresh air in. i would love to go out too but i mostly get these feelings at nights and i cant get out.

but believe me when you get out of your bed almost half of those bad feelings are going away cause it seems like sitting in bed in dark makes the thoughts even worse to me.

but of course you cant just stop your brain or your concerns with just these things. i suggest you to watch some inspiring movies. my favourite is "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" this movie is my all time favorite. after watching this i dont know why but i get more positive about almost everything.

or you can start to watch "Freaks and Geeks",  "Rick and Morty" or "Gilmore Girls"

and i feel relaxed when i read book series. i got over my worse times reading Twilight, Mortal Instruments, of course Harry Potter, Hush Hush series or Hunger Games series. i remember reading them non stop and forgetting my concerns and turning back to my daily life.

just finding little distractions is the best way. darkest times are the worse but no matter what you get over them
