I'm sure it may be different for other fans, but personally, reading his letter gave me a sense of hope and strength. He let us know that he was going to be okay and by extension, we'll be okay. People grieve in their own way and this has been such a source of comfort for so many fans and has helped to offer some closure. This was obviously a difficult thing for him to do and I'm really glad he found the strength to do it. I wish people wouldn't nitpick all the time, especially about something this serious.
