Weakness: YG

JYP:

Strength: 2PM

Weakness: their crappy management

Fixed. 2PM brings in more money than Suzy

Love it or hate it, he is as much responsible for the good things than the bad. The good music and delays are linked, he spend a lot on his artists MVs and all, provide nice apartments for them, focus on nice stages rather than many appearances.

YG

Strengths

Music. Doesn't always stick to the same formula. When he does something right, he does it REALLY well. Encourages idols to make their own music

Weaknesses

bad planning, focuses one one thing too much then easily gets tired of it, has a bad relationship with tv broadcasting stations

SM

Strengths

Very good at training idols, very good at developing a fanbase. Can find really good looking idols. Best at managing and planning out of the Big 3 until recently. I don't know what they've been doing

Weaknesses.

Their idols seem even more manufactured than rest, has released some very bad music.

JYP

Strength

History of producing hit songs. JYP himself is liked a lot by the public. Has a good relationship with his idols and trainees. Great choreography

Weaknesses

The owner is very self centered. Tries to shape idols in his own image and removes what is unique about them. Even worse at managing than YG.

SM-

STRENGTH: I think SM's main strength lies in its history. It is the longest-running agency among the 3. That history has SM's roots anchored deeper and more well-connected than the rest. Not only are its roots more secured, it has also branched out well, especially in terms of popularity. SM has time, which includes experience, influence, name value, and enough acts that reached massive success that further strengthened SM's hold. Combine all of this and it would come as no surprise that most of SM's acts are popular and has massive fanbase regardless of how much negative criticism the company and its acts get.SM is like a store that has secured massive customers.

WEAKNESS: The focus on visuals is too much to the point where whatever comes out of the company are stereotyped and generalized as just looks with no talent. It's negative image to the general public due to shady involvements and other controversies. Can't really manage promoting its acts simultaneously without having a group or two being neglected in the process.

YG-

STRENGTH: Music identity.  YG knows its music and image and sticks to them.

WEAKNESS: Too much talk.

JYP-

STRENGTH: Among the 3, I guess its JYP who seems to know what songs would catch the general public's ear--well, not all the time but, oh well.

WEAKNESS: Mismanagement of its acts.

JYP
very human approach towards his idols, very catchy pop songs
actually his really good at training too, all his idols are good dancers (I'd say close second after SM)

SM

honestly don't know why people point out SM's main strength as looks. I guess the preblem is that SM idols are so good-looking that people at first tend to ignore that they are also one of the most talented once. esp. 2-3 generation idols (TVXQ, BoA, The Grace, TRAX, SuJu at least half of the members, SHINee, SNSD and Fx, EXO is the same as SuJu).
SM is able to find raw talent at a very young stage even through street castings. Changmin is a great example.
Training obviously, like no other agency.

SM idols are most well-rounded able to sing/dance/act
I like SM groups realeases the most.
Management: except for latest SNSD comeback was almost flawless in terms of accuracy adn sticking to schedule.

YG:
Good at promoting idols outside Asia
Honestly that's all.
I personally find their music very repeatative. Only Big Bang at early stages were good.  and 2NE1's first album sounded fresh before they stuck with the same image
And singning isn't YG's strength

SM:

Strength: #1 monopoly company & manipulation ~ great at training their idols.

Weakness: songs sucks ass; appeal to fans rather than the general public, their idols have a time limit and will turn into office workers once their idol life is over.

YG:

Strength: great music production, very appealing to the general public.

Weakness: Doesn't know how to create a fan base, need better cameraman for their concerts.

JYP:

Strength: High quality music, train their idols into real musicians/artists, doesn't sell out, the realest of them all. #1 company that focus on music rather than all of the other aspects of being an idol.

Weakness: wanting to adventure out to US. -____-;;

SM

strength-creative and know how to milk the money (many album covers, repackage,sm sub units etc)

weakness-idk,please take care of your artists from those sasaengs!

YG

strength-all out I mean if their artists make a comeback, they release 2-3 MVs and the MVs are very pretty and interesting

weakness-delay

JYP

strength-I like their artists' personality the most.they seem humble and I always satisfied with their non-title track.

weakness-new stylist unnir please!  :omgwtf:  also please choose more appealing title track. I know in term of non title track,JYP >> but non-fans usually only listen to the title track.good title track will attract more new fans.if you khunfuse which song is the  best, just give us more than one MV per comeback like YG did to their artists! :horror: even SM sometimes give their artists two MVs (repackage)

this is a rant actually

lol at delulus thinking that YG's bad at marketting. He turned bunch of ugly, mediocre-talented boys & girls into famous stars. The fact is contrary to what u think: YG's good at marketting; really bad at choosing talents ( He lost Gummy; the girlgroup )
