Do you think that your hobbies are a waste of time?

I used to feel weird spending so much time exploring the things that I enjoyed because my mind was always drifting back to all of the "work" that I could be doing. But screw it, if I enjoy something and it brings me joy, why should I feel bad about doing it in my free time? Why can't I be proud of the work that I put into it? Some people's hobbies have even changed their career path.

No, but several ppl telling me this straight in my face, including my psychologist (!). kpop, inet, updating Threads (i am OP) its all waste of time for them and not worth it. It feels so downgrade, so much disrespect forward me..

Sometimes I do, with things like dancing, art, volleyball, and singing and all of that kinda stuff, because I'm not very good at it

But then when this happens, some of my favourite BTS quotes come to mind, like:

“Living without passion is like being dead.†
― Jeon Jungkook

“Go on your path, even if you live for a day.†
― Park Jimin

“Effort makes you. You will regret someday if you don’t do your best now. Don’t think it’s too late but keep working on it. It may take time, but there’s nothing that gets worse due to practising. So practise. You may get depressed, but its evidence that you are doing good.†
― Jeon Jungkook

and then I remember that it's because of my hobbies that I actually feel alive and full, and even if at the  moment I may not be great at them, by continuing to do them, I will get better, and then all that fulfillment I get from them now, we have increased exponentially in the future, so then I'm like ehh screw it and continue with my hobbies anyway
