The great person that Kim Jonghyun was.

I don’t care about upvotes or any of that, I’d imagine that upvotes probably crossed your mind when you read this title and that’s perfectly understandable. I just don’t know what to think right now. I’m in total disbelief and I just wanted to share my thoughts on this and Jong and why I fucking love the guy.

 

Jong was the first guy I ever stanned in K-Pop and one of my first biases period. When I got into K-Pop, I was a massive SHINee fanboy. I’d listen to them all damn day long, watch their performances and dance practices so I could see their badass choreos, etc. Well anyway, SHINee was my #2, behind Ladies’ Code.

 

Now of course, we can never really know for certain about how most idols are in reality. We can get an idea, though, and I can confidently say that Kim Jonghyun was a good fucking man. He’s one of those types you hear about who just wants to change the world and make it a better place. It may not seem like it to some, but he did. He made a major impact on many people around the world, including me and many other fans. Not even fans of him, just K-Pop fans period.

 

One thing I admire him for is being open with the stuff he believes in. He had very different views on things than most people in Korea do, yet he was always open about it even though he knew was going to face at least a little bit of backlash. He never tried to hurt anyone or offend anyone or anything like that, he just stood up for the values that were important to him. I admire the passion there, it takes a lot of fucking courage to be able to do something like that as a well known celebrity.

 

This is a bit unrelated, but his passion for music and his career also touches my fucking heart. As a young and aspiring songwriter, that’s one of my favorite things in the world to see. Just a guy who loves and appreciates music and gets to do what he loves.. you could just look at that guy and tell he was doing what he was born to do. performing, writing songs, and just being around music. Just go look at his Instagram, over half the damn posts are of him in the studio. It’s a shame we could never hear more of his work, but I always admired what he could do as a songwriter. There aren’t a whole lot of idols who write songs.. let alone idols who wrote in the way Jong did. This guy would try anything.. he didn’t release much but every release was different. Even his songs he’s worked on with SHINee are the same way.

 

I probably bored you to death but I just wanted to write down what’s going through my head.. I’m just in shock and I know everyone else is too.

 

We lost a great fucking dude today. A great fucking dude who impacted my life in a billion positive ways and impacted tons of other people in this world’s lives as well. I don’t even know what the fuck I just wrote, but Rest In Peace Jong. Gone way too soon.

 

From the bottom of my heart, I also send my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.. I can’t imagine what they’re going through right now. I also send my sincerest condolences to his fans and Shawols out there.. hang in there guys.

Unexpectected, too. I would never think that one beautiful person in the world has left us, when I was just entering the house and checking my phone. It came like a shock. I couldn't sum up anything to define him than 'beautiful'. He was also more than just beautiful. The greatest superlative degree of the world beautiful, that was him. I am a casual fan too, but I always liked SHINee. And I could not agree more on the OP's words, how beautiful he was and still is. It was easy to relate to OP's words, because he really is like that. He is legendary, and I couldn't accept nor let it sink in to my mind that we've lost another legend this early.

But maybe again, that what people say is true. The most beautiful roses in the garden are always the ones picked first. Jonghyun was one of the finest, he was pure. He was an angel that graced us here on Earth.
