and having individual members gain popularity only helps the group

 

both snsd and f(x) had members that were popular individually and that never affected the group

 

and the rest of red velvet are gaining popularity and recognition too (joy for her visuals, seulgi dance, wendy vocals, yeri is starting to get into producing)
