IU is the trend this 2017. Whatever she did, Koreans followed, hence the phrase "IU disease". One of the maaaany things that she popularized this year is the purple "Nerdy" training suit and the cute Raffia hat she wore on Hyori's BnB. Slime also became a hot item this year because of her Instagram videos playing with it. They even named a line of slime products after her a.k.a. "IU slime"!

 

 

Bonus: We also saw how much of a bookworm IU is on Hyori's BnB, so the books that she was reading also became popular recommendations at big bookstores LOL

Knowing her, I don't think she'll do that kind of stuff. ;___; She just sticks to her fancafe when she wants to communicate with her fans. But I'm hoping that she does something for her international fans/communicate with the ifans someday!
