I don't know if cringe is the right word, more like annoying or second hand embarassment like Im seriously embarassed for them These guys are trying sooooooooooo haaaaaaaaaaaard My country is no better but Korea's hiphop is just like really embarassing. But I still watched a few seasons of SMTM and some of the songs are pretty good. Though their live shows are not so good, at least the ones I've been to. As with both industries of course not everyone is as good as the example im posting as with the video you linked. Plus i think the older japanese rap/hiphop is way better than the recent stuff.
