because most people are go through a weird phase at 12. I do think it's wrong to automatically disregard a young person's opinion, specially since I'm still 16 but I don't think all the people that use that expression do it. it's just a common saying on the internet by now, I've even seen 12 year olds use it LOL

ehhh that annoys me that the teen girls' opinions aren't taken seriously by some people as if they can't feel the depth of art. it's usually teen girls who buy a shit-ton of the group's albums or merch, it's teen girls endlessly streaming songs and MVs, and hyping up their faves, sacrificing their time, sleep, energy, and money. they're the most loyal, vocal, and passionate age group, and most likely to support their faves even if they're going through bad times because they're basically growing up while their faves are getting more mature as artists.

I mean "immature" is a word for a reason.

12 is the "awkward phase" between teenagers (13 and more) and kids (11 and less), the oldest kid and the youngest teen.

12 is when people still can't differentiate which is good, which is bad.

it's understandable that people might think 12 year olds are generally immature, but i don't think that's an excuse to disregard all their statements & such

because most 12 years are immature ... lol of course there are some mature ones but you’ll find more immature ones than mature. it’s their age and brain hasn’t fully developed
