Polaris to launch girl group project "Polaris Girls" in 2018

Ladies' Code hasn't had a comeback in over a year, so Polaris took the obvious route and decided to... tease a whole new girl group project! Thanks, Polaris.

Anyways, it seems liking Korean-Japanese groups may become a new trend, as Polaris is now launching a new girl group project involving castings in Japan and Korea.

I am somewhat excited to hear what this project could entail, especially seeing as how Polaris' subsidiary Blockberry Creative was able to conjure up the LOONA project, and seeing as how this could be a combination of Japanese and Korean pop, we may see great things happen. If only they would spare focus on the group they already have!

Will update as necessary.

I thought Polaris and BBC (Loona's company) had just combined as companys though? It was figured that they joined together and now shared trainees.. Does that mean BBC's planned 8x8x8 Group for 2018 may be Polaris girls instead? Or maybe some of them?

BBC has always been a subsidiary of Polaris, so Polaris trainees also count as trainees under BBC as far as I know. And I'm fairly certain that 8x8x8 is supposed to be a boy group so this is most likely not related in the slightest.

It was said many times that 8x8x8 would be made of the girls who didn't make it into Loona.. I haven't heard anything about it being a boy group..

Really? When was that said, I thought it had always been said that 8x8x8 was planned to be a boy group from the start? Then I guess for all we know this could be it, but since this is being termed Polaris Girls and not 8x8x8 I would still be doubtful of this being the same project.

chaotic from mix&match was originally planned to be 8x8x8's debut song, but it was given to odd eye circle instead

with how they use the term "manish" it can be assumed that 8x8x8 is going to be a boy group^^

That's what I thought, for now we can continue to assume 8x8x8 has no relation to this

The question now, though, is..... who's making the official thread

Apparently Ladies' Code has been officially moved into blockberry creative so all we can hope is that bbc will give them a comeback soon or at least will start working on it if its true, i know bbc was also credited in their last 2 mini albums.

Is that so? This are wonderful news then. ahmagahplz.png

Even if they get a fraction of the attention they give to Loona is going to be so much better for them. rlytearpls.png

It was all speculation by fans, never been confirmed or actually officially announced.

Again, nothing has been confirmed or announced, Blockberry Creative has been the distributors of their albums since the creation of the company.
