Racial slurs are words specifically used to degrade/dehumanize a certain racial group as used by the group in power. It's about who is using them, what they mean, and the intent. People get so upset about having to "tiptoe" around people but like it's not that hard to not be an asshole and get all upset about being nice to people

there has to be history behind the word where it has been used exclusively* to demean that race for it to be a racial slur.

the question is rather or not it's a racial slur, not if it's ok to use 

dunno about it being a racial slur but i do know about it being used on japanese people by propaganists during ww. but should it be consider a racial slur or a derogatory term towards a certain ethnic? for you it might be derogatory/offensive term but for others it isn't. different perspectives on the issue i think. not sure about the entire history of calling people a 'rat' tho.

internet is lawless so its okay to imply and have full freedom of speech (which is bullsht bc some people are jailed bc things they said in internet lol, but kids wont know this)
