Give up or go on?

Tomorrow is my last test, yet...

I am really in despair right now. I completely don't know, I'm totally anticipating to face this test yesterday, but when I look at the materials... All I feel is despair, completely lost. I'm so frustrated because I didn't use my time to study them. I don't understand about half the material, and the test has 40 questions. I still have 20 hours but my mind is again playing with me.

I hate my fucking brain. I hate it so much. It keeps telling me to stop, and then it tells me to go on. I hate my school, I hate my country's education system, I fucking hate life. All these negative thoughts have hunted me since the beginning of this grade. I hate venting my feelings so much but I can't hold it anymore.

What do you guys think? Give up, or go on?

If I have to go on, tell me some quotes that can change my mind, not just "tomorrow will pass". I eat those words everyday only to end up filling my heart with vague feelings and confusion. Or some inspirational motivation. I really hate getting attention because it seems I'm doing that right now but I'll try to appreciate everything you all try to say to me.

Honestly, I can't really say anything that will make you feel any better about your current situation, except that I understand. School is like a giant pit of angst and despair at times - especially when you're not actively pursuing something that you're passionate about.

But think of it this way, giving up will yield only one sure result - zero. Try, and you may find that you know more than you think you do (at least your chances of success are incrementally better). And at the end of the day, "tomorrow does pass" isn't the worse advice you can take, because the time that you spend in school now will probably seem like a small blip when you look back on it further down the road. Failing tests sucks, but it's not the end of the world if you find the drive to do better the next time around. So go on. I won't lie to you and say that you'll pass tomorrow's test for sure, but you won't know until you try.

And please don't ever look down on yourself for needing to vent your frustrations to people, and/or ask for words of encouragement. The hardest thing to do sometimes is admit when you need help, but you're likely to find at least one person who's willing to help - and sometimes you need that.

Honestly the test won't be as bad as you think it will, I mean whats the absolute worst thing that could happen? You could fail and have to retake the course, but at least youll be more prepared the next time around.

And you should absolutely go on. Life isnt just about schools and tests. Honestly you could drop out right now and still live a happy life. You just have to find one thing that brings you joy in life, it could be a purpose that motivates you, a person, a pet, or even something silly like drinking coffee in the morning. Finding this thing makes it a lot easier to deal with all the shitty stuff you have to deal with. Ultimately its up to you to decide what you want to do with your life, if youre truly not enjoying what youre doing, change it.

Also if you ever need to talk to some and vent, you can always pm me :) I would like to think im pretty good at listening.

If I can drop out, I'll surely drop out, and you won't find me making this thread lol. However I still need to learn more, and to survive in this world I can't simply decide to stop for the sake of living a happy life. I have to deal with it. I've accepted things from people way too much, and that's one of the reasons why I hate venting my feelings.

By the way, thank you so much for your offer <3 I seriously want to upvote you all but my upvotes are all used for today ;v;

Yeah i get it, its hard to succeed without a decent education nowadays, but I mainly said that because life really isnt all about school. I know people who are waitresses that are happier than people with masters degrees and high paying jobs. You just have to strike a balance with things you enjoy and things you have to do because the people who only focus on the later end up being miserable.

I think the meaning of life is to be happy and find meaning in what you do. But I guess thats up to your own interpretation as well. Just don't make yourself feel stuck in whatever position youre in, you always have the option of changing, even if it doesnt seem like it right now.

Also seriously, dont be afraid to pm me if you need to. Ive felt the exact same way several times and I know how awful it is.

Don't let your emotions, fears, and worries dictate your actions. Rn you are stressing out THINKING that you won't be able to study and ASSUMING you will do badly in your test. That's in the future and you don't know... there is still a chance that you will study well and do good in your exam. Think of that chance and persevere.

I'll take your words in my mind. Again, thank you so much for your offer <3

That's currently an issue I've been dealing for years, but this year is horrible. I'm going to graduate high school soon, maybe that's why I'm really stressed out? Thank you for replying <3
