I'm currently in the process of applying for admission into a Physical Therapist Assistant program but the main thing holding my back right now is shadowing hours. I shadowed for the first time at an office yesterday which put me at 8 but I just don't really know where to go from here? Do I just start contacting PT offices and hope they'll let me? Should I e-mail her back (since I still have to send her a thank you anyways) and ask if she could refer me to someone? Bc I know referrals can help immensely, she was referred to me to begin with. She was really nice and pulled up job openings suggesting I apply for a technician job at the hospital bc that's the best way to get hours. She even offered to let me use her as a reference + put a good word in for me :') but I just don't really feel confident about it? Should I try anyways? I made mine and I got accepted in my choice of animation company for internship. Just always be ready to accept setbacks too even though it might be disappointing. Also, make other plans too.
