None probably, Korean public is more interested in what critics say about music releases than catching up with awards shows which keep bilking their naive children. There are some awards show which are trustable but those never give awards to idol songs.

According to white papers released by Kocca, more than half of the Korean music market is based on the digital sales. What groups achieve digitally is far more important than what they achieve physically which currently is caused by a bunch of weird people (who cannot even play those CDs) buying 40+ albums (**most of the time for a really cheap price) to attend fan signs. (which is again stated in '16 industry report by Kocca)

 

Though I must agree with you with that fast thing. It's kind of funny. It's usually not that important to keep track of the fastest one.

Well i did know that music award shows are overall not really popular there especially seeing the ratings they get but on comparative basis,i though these two especially MAMA would be more popular since they get so much media attention.(even if they have joke of a reputation)
