I guess I'm on the Last Idol Family mailing list because I received a message today about their upcoming Live Events. LIF is having their 1st Concert on 1/28 and the 243 Project involving Aya will be the guest. In addition, the Valentine's Day concert is going to feature all the groups LIF members are concurrent with. Here's the lineup:

- pax puella (Abe's group)

- 243 and Yoshizaki Aya (Self explanatory)

- Ringo Musume (Good Tears Orin's group)

- Tokyo Rockets (Good Tears Kana's group)

- Spindle (Someday Somewhere Himeri's group. I thought they disbanded)

- eyes (Love Cocchi Rio's group)

I wish I was going warstarplz.png I guess they really want to stack the show to help entice fans to come out. One group is conspicuously absent; Rev.from DVL, Good Tears Mayu's group. Maybe they'll be at a future concert.

Here are some samples:

Okay, I had no idea Tokyo Rockets had an MV (Brand new from Dec.). I've only seen fancams before. There's not much out there for Spindle and eyes is brand new and only has one live video of an underwhelming song so far.

Little by little, some videos are trickling onto YouTube. Here's an short interview with Aya, Airi, and Midori on Otoboke Pops (音ボケPOPS) from 1/13:

A rare fancam of Midori's group, Opening Sisters (オープニングシスターズ). It's from April, 2017, but was just uploaded on the 18th of this month. I looked for fancams last year during the 1st Season of Last Idol, and there were hardly any.

Here's a couple videos from fans showing their photocard collections. These are the really nice ones you can only buy from the official store on LIF's site. Both vids are by female fans. It seems like Last Idol Family skews more towards males, but it's nice to know they have some females fans.

I want that free LP sized photo she has warstarplz.png

There's plenty more from other Users if you check the recommendations.

A vid from the guys who review Last Idol's Survival Show every week and comment on other Idol groups. I guess Last Idol was at a live event with STU48 and =Love. LIF really are like an honorary 48 group.

Edit: Aya didn't post about this on twitter, so I guess it's not a big deal. I don't follow the Gravure scene, but I thought it might be significant.

*Here's a bonus from Aya's Twitter Account:

Idol Sandwich hurrplz.png I'm not entirely sure who else is in the pic, but Midori retweeted it, so she might be one of them or took the pic.

Midori is doing some solo performances this month:

In addition, she had a solo Interview *I'll try to translate it when I have time:

There's a second Interview posted yesterday. I guess she's talking about allot of things including the issues of Weekly Playboy that Last Idol was featured in.

Finally, Midori opened an Instagram Account last month:

Just like allot of the other members of Last Idol Family, she's doing her own thing outside the TV Show and getting her name out there. I wish this had been the big break for these girls and it was a full time gig. Still, the Last Idol Project has been a great opportunity that's probably opened some doors.

  • 2 weeks later...

Kana promoted her group Tokyo Rockets' appearance at Last Idol Family's upcoming Valentine's Day Live.

And some more Kana cuteness:

This is a little old, but Rio went to Eat Ehime on TV Asahi to shoot a TV Spot for Season 2 of Last Idol:

Rio says in the CM that Last Idol is broadcasting two new patterns of the 2nd Season from yesterday that's only available in the Ehime area. Maybe they're rebroadcasting old episodes.

Last Idol Family just had their Special Valentine's Day Live Show. There's a ton of stuff I'll be posting over the next few days. 2700 Fans attended!

Brief recap of the event:

They performed songs in both Season 1 and Season 2 costumes:

Instead of Member colors, each group has their own. Looks like they're using the ones associated with each group's logo. I'll take one of each XD

The new Photocards look wonderful deepstareplz.png I want them all (>.<)

I think everything was available at the show. This is one fans haul:

Midori, Good Tears' Kana, and Love Cocchi's Rio will appearing on a Variety Show this weekend. Finally, some Midori/Kana interactions rlytearpls.png Hopefully someone uploads a video or at least some clips.

The 3 of them will be the Short Corner Guest. Each of them will be showcasing a talent:

- Midori will give examples of Conversational English. Even though this is one of her talents, I've yet to hear her say a single word in English, lol.

- Kana will eat Green Soybean very fast 0u0plz.png

- Rio will do an imitation of a Semi no Mane, which is a type of bird.

Midori's been busy. She just did her first solo Gravure shoot. It's in EX magazine. 5 pages!

https://instagram.com/p/BfI0wvHHVpE/

https://instagram.com/p/BfXSvdUnRkU/

In addition, she did another solo shoot for Flash Special which will be out on April 20th.

It's a little hard to understand Midori's message. She talks about suddenly singing and a Battle. She also says something about choosing Yoshida and mentions what a great reward it will be. This might be part of prizes the winners of Season 1 get.

"Giant" Abe and Airi will be making their own appearance on a TV Show. It's called Paripi TV and they'll be on 5 days in a row starting on Feb. 26th.

Pic from the their upcoming appearance (Abe must be crouching, lol):

ph_055.jpg

I didn't see a tweet from Airi about it, but she went with members of Someday Somewhere and Love Chocchi to see =LOVE perform and got a picture with them. Rino must have hooked them up, lol.

Airi changed her hair color. I noticed this in the pics that came out from their Valentine's Day live.

Wow, an actual Fancam. Poor girls, they must be freezing (great thumbnail though). I think they're lip syncing. Either that or their mixing the live vocals with the studio track to try and hide any mistakes.

They really do make a cute group together. If they're together long enough, Momona might be able to improve her singing over time.

Edit: Momona's "Achoo!" sounded live, so maybe it is a mixture of both live and studio vocals.

Midori chopped off her hair fD4JAZe.png Take that Love Cocchi, lol. She almost looks like a different person.

CCR after surviving their performance in the snow!

A brief look at the location of one of Last Idol Families Hand Shake meetings. The place is pretty big!

I just realized what Midori's message meant in the last tweet. She wrote "Don't be dry" and there's an angry face emoji. Since she's reaching out her hands, she must have meant "Don't have dry hands" at the Handshake Meeting laugh.png

"Last Idol's thought on Komuro Tetsuya, Exclusive Interview"

The winner's of TV Asahi's Audition Battle (aired on Saturdays at 12 am) formed the 7 member Idol Group "Last Idol". In an exclusive Interview with Nikkan Sports, They spoke about their first concert at Zepp Tokyo in Tokyo, Daiba for Valentine's Day, and revealed their feelings towards Producer Komura Tetsuro.

Midori (17): Thanks to the fans who have always supported us, we were able to do Live on Valentine's Day, and I think we were able to give them the gift of our feelings. It was a fitting day to have out first concert. Even after years, it will be an unforgettable anniversary.

Aya (21): Since we are female Idols, I'm honestly happy that we could do a One Man Live on a day where we could

return our love. We reheared for only 3 days, danced to 5 songs, and during the break wrote messages for 100 autographs. It was a really hard and memorable 3 days.

Midori: Yes, I stayed behind to write them. Absolutely unforgettable (laughs).

Abe (15) I was glad we could do a One Man so suddenly because I longed to do a stage at Zepp Tokyo.

Yako (20): Because it was the first live, we had our first real rehearsal. After the prepation, I understood how difficult it is, and thought all the people who are Idols are amazing.

Midori: We're Idols too (laughs).

Aya: With "Last Idol" alone, we only have a few songs, so the truth is we really can't do a full live. Because of the 4 groups in the 2nd Unit, we were able to do 2 hrs. This was the Last Idol Family Live.

Airi (18): I was confused when I had to memorize the lyrics and movement of the songs together. Even when doing a song from before, like "Bandwagon" for example, we had to widen the standing position according to the stage of the live venue, and each of these things was serious in my first experience.

Yako: Abe is a good dancer, and I remember her picking it up very quickly.

Aya: It's true! Just by seeing the Choreography Teacer demonstrate it once, she remembers it perfectly.

Abe: No, no... (*Abe said "iya, iya..." so it's a very emphatic No)

Midori: However, sometimes you make mistakes, and your the one laughing about it (laughs). It's cute. We make mistakes all the time because we're impatient.

Aya: You're the Center because you remember so quickly! It's amazing even if you look at all 25 members of the 2nd Unit. Even when we all learned TRF's "Samui yoru dakara" and "Valentine Kiss", she was missing. The Teacher couldn't teach her.

(* This was a little hard to understand. Aya literally says "flew out", but I translated it to "she was missing". She also says "Teacher can't teach", so I thought she meant they coudn't teach Abe anything. Aya might have meant that Abe learned quicker than everyone else, and the Teacher had nothing left to teach her, so she left early or sat out the rest of the class).

Abe: I don't really understand it myself, but I've been learning dance since I was 3 yrs. old, so maybe I've gotten used to it.

--btw, on the TV Program, the Second Single will be released on April 18th. A Performance Battle is being held between Last Idol and he 2nd Unit Groups Good Tears (Tetsuro), Chou Cream Rockets (AKi-P), Someday Somewhere (Sashihara), and Love Cocchi (Tsunku).

Haruka (14): This is a Family Concert, but you can't fight seriously if you don't see them as rivals on the program, so you have to change over there.

Yako: Last Idol Family are like a circle of friends/comrades. Only when Battling are we competitive.

Natsumi (13): There are 5 Groups in the Family, but best friends make the strongest rivals, so it brings out the best in us. I'm particulary close with Chou Cream Rockets.

--The 5 Groups are produced by Aki-P, Tetsuro, Tsunku, Sashihara, and Komuro respectively. Komuro's retirement announcement was a hot topic on Last Idol. At this time, "Wind Blows" could be the last work of Komuro. At the very least, Komuro, who's sent out a number of first class Artist's to the world, will Produce the Artist in the end.

Midori: Of course, it has considerable weight since it was the last song he made when he decided to retire. But Komuro is truly happy to see us through to the very end. Whether "Wind Blows" become the Title song or not, we want to be able to say "Komuro, we did it properly".

Yako: Komuro respects our personalities, and carefully considered the opinions of each and every one of us. Even though we're having a showdown, it's become a song that I can sing happily.

--In the heyday of TK's music in the 90's, all the members were not born yet. Do you know any of TK's hits?

Aya: To be honest, I didn't experience it first hand. However, it's been passed down.

(*This might be of some interest. What Aya actually says in the first sentence is "I wasn't On Time". I had to look up what she meant. I found a Japanese blog referencing it and did a quick Google translate. "On Time" is slang and, according to the blogger, it's been used by Japanese starting around 2012. Before then, they used "kotoba", written in Katakana, which meant "Real Time". It meant you saw something on Television at the time of airing, and not through a recording or on the 'net. For some reason unknown to the Blogger, Japanese started using "On Time", also written in Katakana, in place of this. They both mean the same thing, but since On Time means something completely different in English, the blogger thinks it's misused. Sounds like when it's used in negative context, it's meant to convey that you were "late to the party", so to speak, for an event and didn't see what happened first hand. Could also mean "before your time").

Midori: TRF's songs are used on Television in many Dramas, aren't they?

Airi: We sang one at tonight's live, Shinohara Ryoko's "Love and sense and Sorrow". My Father has a CD of it, and I had been singing it for some time. There are many songs that I know about.

Midori: However, I didn't know that Watanabe Misato's song "My Revolution" was by TK until recently. On the day TK was decided as our Producer, My Mother told me he's the one who wrote "My Revolution". I was surprised.

Aya: To tell the truth, even when meeting TK, you don't feel it. Before we were born, these famous songs were created, allot of songs that have been sung by the current generation were also created, so when the hand of the composer is right in front of you, it doesn't seem real. However, I was deeply impressed by Komuro. His aura is amazing and he has kind, gentle eyes. It feels like he's watching us with eyes that already know everything. He said "Don't rush, it's okay".

Midori: That's right. He was so kind that I thought, "It this really Komuro?". He has a tenderness like a Family Relative.

--So, is this the way you would sing for a Relative?

Midori: That's terrible! Reporters are the worst. I'm not saying he's like an Uncle (*they use the sound effect "Pun Pun"

which I believe is supposed to indicate Midori's pissed, lol).

(*Midori uses the slang "saite" when insulting the Reporter. It means "awful, crappy, the worst. etc." I just thought I'd mention it since it's very specific slang).

Everyone: (Bursts out laughing)

--I'm sorry (laughs). Anyway, "Wind Blows" is classic TK and said to be his last masterpiece. Since it can be sung forever and ever, please raise the value of the song.

Yako: Yes. Especially after hearing about TK's retirement, I feel we definitely want to win and make it the Title Song.

--By all means, do your best. Oh, boy... Midori's gaze is the same as Judge Yoshida's during the live MC. It's a bit sharp (laughs).

(*I'm not sure if the Interviewer was referring to when Yoshida was on Last Idol or if he was at the Valentine's Day Live).

Everyone: (bursts out laughing)

Aya: By all means, please write that Midori said "the worst" and that her eyes were frightening (laughs).

Midori: Well, I often exagerrate and tend to be misunderstood, so it's useless (Gives a sweet smile)

(*The sound effect used is "Nikkori". It kind of refers to a character in a Manga "Eye smiling")
