Green Willow 1,638
There's a Reddit post that says "What are some thing people without siblings will never understand?" And the posts man I relate to a lot so much, there's an answer for everyone! See if you can find one you agree with. Here are some: "Being able to bitch about things your parents do and having someone there who totally understands." "Having someone say to you, 'Don't tell Mom'". This is called leverage, and makes for hilarious stories at family dinners years later." "Hitting your sibling, then comforting them when they start crying and calling for mom 'JUST SHH U CAN HIT ME BACK PLEASE'" "When me and my brother were kids everything had to be equally shared. Especially food. To the point where we put the glasses side by side to get exact the same amount of juice for each one. I recall one time we counted the amount of Pringles chips and split in two equally amounts. The crumbles and broken chips went to parents of course." "Doing things for the sole reason that it'll piss off your siblings." (note: I've never done this to my own siblings but they've done it to me.) "The deep rage you will have when you see them wearing your clothes without your permission. Especially if you were wanting to wear it." "I'm always baffled when someone says their best friend is "like a sister to me." I HATED my sisters, and the feeling was mutual." "How about having a sibling with the same birthday?? BOOM, no specials days about just you." More in link:https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/4n98zp/what_are_some_thing_people_without_siblings_will/?utm_source=amp&utm_medium=comment_header My own addition is: "Being so close with your brother that people assume you are boyfriend and girlfriend." Not everyone can have that kind of bond bishes What do any of you agree with?

terrifiedwolves 571
I can relate to these all, and to OP, I have gotten that before but not because me and my brother are "close" sometimes we just walk together to school and people assume things, it's gross - It makes me more aware of why men and women can't seem to stay only friends, people always want to label relationships but yeah, siblings and cousins for real

spicey babe 3,133
"The deep rage you will have when you see them wearing your clothes without your permission. Especially if you were wanting to wear it." This, I had to give my sister my fave plaid shirt because she always used it, and she ruined two of my faves shirts. Am I the only one who takes bath with her sister because we are always the last ones to get ready when we go out? I agree with most of them, except that when we fight we forget things really fast. My own addition: Blackmailing with "I'm going to tell mom!" lmao thx darling!! it's my favourite Christmas special of all time I can relate to these all, and to OP, I have gotten that before but not because me and my brother are "close" sometimes we just walk together to school and people assume things, it's gross - It makes me more aware of why men and women can't seem to stay only friends, people always want to label relationships but yeah, siblings and cousins for real yeah that's also a thing too. it's frustrating when people keep assuming only lovers are "allowed" to do such things that platonic people "don't" do "The deep rage you will have when you see them wearing your clothes without your permission. Especially if you were wanting to wear it." LOLLL I have stolen numerous of my older brother's sweaterstbh i wear my brother's pajama pants and borrowed some of his shirts, plus i wear my dad's shirts as a bed shirt. so i understand the anger but i do it myself
kish 2,929
This one especially lmaooo "Hitting your sibling, then comforting them when they start crying and calling for mom" also this: - whenever I'm outside, maybe like hanging out with my friends, I always think of "what can I buy for them? (my bros)". Most of the time, it's bread like from tous le jours,or breadtalk - I have 2 young bros (the oldest is 19 years old, the youngest is 13 years old. I'm 22, AND the only daughter in my family), and I live far from home, so whenever I see a kid that is pretty chubby and and their hight is around my height, it always reminds me of my youngest bro :"""). Ah, he's still in school right now, I can't call him :"""")

exo_cytosis 26
"Being able to bitch about things your parents do and having someone there who totally understands." I love it when my sisters would also mimic how my parents would scold/nag at us "How about having a sibling with the same birthday?? BOOM, no specials days about just you." Oops, I'm guilty of sharing birthday with my older sister cause I was born a year later..
dangerous church oppa 842
Or every time you told your parents how much you hated your siblings and they said, "Its just a phase. Once you guys grow up, you'll love each other". Jokes on them because we still hate each other's guts now as adults and had it had NOT been illegal to kill someone, one of us would already be dead
