I will obviously do a lot of research myself but I wanted to get the opinions from locals in other countries as well. If you could answer these questions I would be really grateful: What country do you live in? What are the gun laws where you live? What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? Hunting or shooting sport licence needed for the lowest category of guns. Middle category has more restrictions and highest category cannot be owned by civilians. Most people think it's illegal for a common citizen to buy a gun, but actually it is not; just really restricted (and expensive). Police use guns, private security use guns and criminals use a lot of guns though. What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? Because of the rising criminality, there are two clashing opinions. Most people used to agree civilians shouldn't be allowed to have guns, but lately there's a movement towards allowing the easier commerce of guns again for safety. On the other hand, there's also an opposing movement pointing out that having guns could lead to more crimes of passion, to a higher murder rate etc. What do you think about America and guns? It does way more harm than good. I firmly believing allowing the population to own guns doesn't contribute either positively nor negatively to the rates of criminality, but it does allow for psychos to have guns and mass killings. Only military (police, army, navy, etc.) is allowed to have them What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? A lot of people (dumb conservatives) wants Brazil to have the same gun laws as the USA. Their argument is that criminals can obtain guns illegally and kill people while the general citizen can't defend themselves. What they fail to realise is that the percentage of criminals in Brazil is really low (not even 3%). If guns become legal here, a really high percentage of the population would have access to them, and this would NOT be pretty. What do you think about America and guns? I'm neutral. But for hunting purposes you need a licence. What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? They cause harm to others and is generally a bad thing in society. What do you think about America and guns? Very unnecessary for civilians to be allowed to carry weapons like this and hazardous to many. I really think they should change the laws about this issue. The gun laws are super strict, getting a permit is really hard and controlled. They only people that have them that ain't somehow involved with law inforcement are hunters maybe. People that own guns have special safety restrictions that they must follow so that family and friends don't have access to them. What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? I don't think anyone misses having guns, no one ever complained about not having them. I'm honestly glad to know that I can go out and not worry about people carrying guns with them. What do you think about America and guns? I don't understand you.I don't. You have soo many gun crimes and half of your country is not even willing to consider talking about limiting gun access. Quiet honestly I think you guys are crazy for wanting to keep guns. I don't understand how you feel safe with them. People owning guns hasn't stopped all these shootings in schools, festivals etc. I honestly also believe your police crimes are only so bad because so many american people own guns and that's why they are 100% more paranoid than anywhere else in the world. It's said that it's strict (but you can't expect much for a very corrupted country like mine, civilians can obtain it with bribes and black market exist). However, by law, only those who are involved in military and law enforcement can have the license as well as politicians. I know some doctors and rich businessmen who also have licensed guns . They also must go through strict background check, etc. What do you think is the general opinion about guns in your country? Can't say a lot about this. If it involves law enforcement and military protecting the public then people'd be thankful and fine about it but if it involves criminals and black market causing disturbance then of course we'd have negative opinions about it. But if your gun is licence you can walk around with it freely but you can only use the gun in case of defending oneself and not with the purpose intention of killing a person if you do so you will be arrested. Because the crime rate here is on the raise government is put more demand on when getting guns licence, meaning you have to go through a longer process then before and remove illegal guns from people. People don't think of gun owners like that. Everyone knows most of them aren't killers. For me it's just a matter of security, the less guns the better.
