Kenshi doesn't really appear on TV to perform (most I've seen him even appear at all is to give a short interview on a morning program), and based on what he's said in print interviews, he doesn't like the appearance of being part of the machine. That stance has been pretty consistent since back when he was just Hachi, the vocoloid producer, so I think that there's more there than just lip service. My point is, he is starting to open up to the mainstream success he is receiving. Yes and no. While there are obviously some things he's given on (song tie-ins, promo campaigns, etc.), the same general sentiment is still present in his interviews for "BOOTLEG," which suggests that there are probably some things that he won't be as likely to surrender on. Ultimately depends on how exactly he views the matter. Now, to clarify, I'm not saying that he absolutely was invited and turned it down, but merely that it would not surprise me, given the outlined circumstances.
