BTOB slaying with their comebacks reaching their current career peak until now in terms of popularity, physical, digital sales

 

Pentagon had 3 comebacks and is rising

 

CLC had 2 comebacks and got recognised internationally with Hobgoblin + got Korean attention with Summer Kiss and I Like It

 

Hyuna had 2 comebacks and proved that after 10 years she still has a big name and longevity #streamLip&Hip

 

Jang Hyunseung is getting out of the dungeon and Cube posted today that he has some kind of schedule in Japan very soon

 

Jeon Soyeon debuted and had a very successful and good debut

 

Triple H debuted and exposed the Pentagon members + Hyuna had more activities

 

I really think that Cube got their s*it together and that 2018 is going to be even better, let's hope they'll end up even more successful and get out of the crisis!

BTOB were called Nugu Flops for 3 years straight. To see how much they have sold, how much they well performed in the charts, seeing them winning awards and becoming more successful each step since second half of 2015 makes anyone who followed them back then to feel highly emotional. BTOB build up a strong and rich fandom to support them step by step through struggles. Fans of Beast even said they were huge waste of money for Cube. Many people say any other company would have given up trying to make a group successful for 3 years and got nothing. But BTOB is here for 5 years and you are calling them a success.

CLC and Pentagon do not have fandoms rich enough to support them yet perhaps one day they will have. It's not only Cube's fault.

People are so much more thirsty for Hyuna's sex appeal and concepts than for music and she do not have a fandom rich enough to support her. It's not only Cube's fault.

Soyeon is a new rookie and she have very few fans willing to buy. It's not only Cube's fault. 

 

Cube have too many problems and one of the biggest ones is to create, raise and build up fandoms rich enough to support their idols.

 

Two of the problems Cube have are: 1. Anti-Cube's sentiment and hate against Cube from fans of Beast and 4Minute. 2. Bad financial management.

okay, first you need to be able to differentiate attempt with outcome because there are too many cases when those two don't usually work in equality

 

talking about cube's doing, they definitely did some things great this year as though signing w loen, putting their vids to 1thek channel (+cjem for clc), allowing fans to sub their video which i find quite interesting bcs as far as i knew they are too private and strict towards their content use (Although they still are towards re uploading and others, but still this is an improvement). promoting huidawn out there in new approach (non-pentagon activities), solo btob projects, surprise rocketing popularity of guanlin and seonho (+seonho follow up activities<--this is important), dance practice videos (clc and ptgs perf vids, choreo practice vids, etc), more comebacks, letting soyeon out i still wonder what have they done towards 2jihoons

 

 

 

_{in my honest opinion for cube to clc, they tried to cater for intl fans (hobgoblin) which is good, to only take a whole different route afterwards. i still feel bad towards them. i think they had their style perfectly defined since debut: sassy playful girls. yet they keep on changing concepts like btob did which is too much risky when public still not recognize for who you are. they need to emphasize their uniqueness (e.g yeeun rap, or sorn's vocal) more.. hope sth good will happen soon} 

 

 

 

 

as much as i love their 2 pioneer groups, things would never be the same without 4m and bst thus they also need to change their game because their new protagonists(artists) have whole different characteristics to their previous ones

Far and away CLC's best year.

 

- Constant and consistent promotion via Twitter, Vlive and fancafes (outside of variety shows which can't be helped right now)

- 2 very good and well-received mini albums

- Upward Korean and international fanbase growth (There is a major difference in performance cheers and screams from the end of 2016 to now.)

- Members were allowed to participate more in the group's promotions (Yeeun writing even more lyrics, Seungyeon/Yoojin creating I Like It's Choreo, etc)

- Members were allowed more side projects and individuality (SORN with her PRODSORN series, Seunghee/Elkie with their solos, Seungyeon/Yujin with their dance performances, Eunbin with her attempts to cook edible food)

 

From what I can tell from other groups, they also have seen an uptick in effort so CUBE is doing well.

What do you expect from a one year group? Pentagon is still doing very great this year. There are lots of people in Runaway comment section who wants to know the boys. I don't usually like when someone brags this but YouTube views there are rising so fast compared to Like This. Overall Runaway have sold almost 10K copies in three weeks. I noticed their effort to promote Pentagon AND CLC with BTOB but Pentagon has so much exposure (Hongseok's drama, Age of Youth, Jinho's musical, Hui in Wanna One's variety show, JTBC's frequently featuring them) and they are definitely rising.

 

None of their artists flop, but sure, there are still so wide room for Cube's management improvement. There's a reason why their comebacks always clash with big, popular groups, you know.

There were many good signs, and giving groups steady promotions was good. But, lots more needs to be done.

CLC needs a way to distinguish themselves from every other innocent gg.

Pentagon boys need much more variety, more roles and better comeback concepts.

Soyeon needs steady mediaplay.

CUBE did the best thing get rid of the CEO that everyone hated: Park Choong Min, the one that disbanded 4MINUTE and let BEAST go.

Since December 28, 2016 Shin Dae Nam is the new CEO and is actually rebuilding the whole company.
 

He basically gave his idols some positions in the company, HyunA was a director for CLC Hobgoblin era, Jinho (Pentagon) is Seonho vocal teacher. 

 

Kino revealed in one of PENTAGON to do list, HyunA, BTOB, Jo Kwon, Hui, himself, Jinho and Jeon Soyeon works in the productions and songwriting, but some people also have involvement in the company, which is why and how the company is soaring.

 

They are delivering much more contents than they used, and 2017 was better than 2016, so if they go on the same road for 2018, they might actually do something.
