I might've actually listened to Not Today more than I do Spring Day.. ^^'

Which is not what I expected at first listen bc I initially thought Not today was too loud and busy for me, but it has this weirdly addictive power that kept pulling me back to it :P (the synchronised dance formations in the MV, especially Jimin's part at the end, were ultra cool and definitely played a factor in making me wanna go back to it)

Meanwhile I think we can all agree Spring day is a beautiful song and video, but melodically speaking imo it isn't very varied and complex and I admittedly get distracted after listening to it for awhile.

I supposed I'm the only one like this but I'm still curious to hear which one between these two songs is your favourite now that they've both had almost a year-long run.

Not Today isn't melodically varied and complex either though, but it's such a hype song. I thought it was too loud for me too but I listened to it quite a bit while exercising.

Spring Day is still superior though. The lyrics and the music video too are really beautiful. Still wish there wasn't that background noise but I loved it overall

Spring Day disappointed me at first, especially when I thought the MV was so beautiful that it distracted me from the music. I liked Not Today more when it first came out but over time, Spring Day became one of my most played songs. Even the Japanese version of it is beautiful.

It's the opposite for me

I mostly listened to Not today only without headphones, because on YouTube it has those sound effects in the beginning that are only heard in one ear and that is really unpleasant to listen to

Meanwhile Spring day is so beautiful, iht's been months and Tae's "You know it all, you're my best friend" part still gives me chills whenever I hear it

I'm the opposite, I really love Not Today at first, I was expecting another strong song after the release of BST and how upbeat OT7 songs on WINGS. Spring Day surprised me at first because it's a genre that BTS used to put as a b-side. But now I can't get over Spring Day, it's a chill song that I love to listen when I need to just focus. Also I think it's the most watched MV alongside Run and INU original version for me. The message is very beautiful, it pricked my heart, the MV and performance convey the message really well. It's a very solid piece of artwork.

In the past, i hate to hear Spring Day because it such an emotional song and i hate to cry. So i listen to Not Today more. However, one time when i watching a leaf fall from the tree, suddenly Spring Day melody pop up into my mind and it's beautiful. Now, i listen to Spring day when i just got back from work and Not today when i go to work. ilikeitplz.png

When they were first released it was Not Today >>>>>>>> Spring Day for me. I love hype songs, the choreo is great and the message is easy to understand and support. I’m not generally a fan of slower songs (I can’t think of a single ballad I actually like). However, Spring Day has risen considerably for me and I like it better than Not Today now. It’s just much more subtle. The MV and dance references are very political in a much stronger way than Not Today, so the subtlety is a requirement given the political situation at the time. My aunt passed away this summer and that’s when I really started listening to it a lot because the song just gets it so much (separation, longing to just see someone one more time, grief), so now I have a really emotional connection to it that I have with very few songs.

Also, as always, love the discussions you generate. â¤ï¸
