Should we Petition for GAON Top 200?

The last time we got Top 200 was 2013 year and 2014 mid-year.

GAON said they cut it to Top 100 weekly, monthly and yearly because downloads and sales in general had dropped.

BUT NOW album sales and digital sales have increased... so shouldn't GAON go back to Top 200?

in 2013, the #1 most downloaded song had 1.8 million and #100 had 745k

as for physicals the #1 album sold 335k and #100 sold 13.4k

This year we will see similar download numbers, and much higher album sales... so isn't it time to return to Top 200 for transparency and to keep informed?

Not to mention, despite releasing Top 200 in 2010-2013 they removed #101-200 in 2014!

What exactly is the point of that?

TL/DR Sales are up to 2013 levels+ so GAON should go back to Top 200!

What do you guys think?

Would a petition work?

Top download has 2.2 million currently

#100 is likely to hit 650k by year end is not higher

It wouldn't work but it's not a bad idea to get to see them.

I know it's a long shot but they don't even have a pay option

HANTEO has a pay option to see all sales

we know GAON has the top 400 so why not at least have a subscription model?

What do they have to lose if they are tracking those numbers anyways?

Well then, someone should start one, I'll definitely sign it.

Can you stop with all this petitions?

You can't get (force) everything you want with them.

Now whenever I hear 'petition' it makes me cringe.

ok easy there....

no one's forcing you to read about or get involved in anything...

why not? but i think this would draw more competition in fandoms coz you know, everyone will be comparing this into this and her into him. this cycle is kinda annoying

That happens anyways

but with all the competition nowadays, many new and groups from small companies don't even chart and we have no way of knowing how they are doing or if they are improving.

I'm just a curious person and would want to know

plus I think it's the mark of a well developed industry if it is transparent and has the ability to track it's own success

I wonder if companies have access to top 400 weekly...
