Why do people say these award shows are attendance award shows

And if some groups or people don't get any prize after sitting for 2-3 hours wouldn't they are their fans feel bad

I think it's okay for only those groups to attend who are actually getting something

I think it's more that award shows do all their calculations or whatever they need to do early and then invite the winners.

eh they are part of the industry and those award shows are to celebrate what you are part of. sitting 2-3 hours wouldn't kill them

if one of my faves nominated and didn get anything i wouldn't feel bad just cos they attended the ceremony lol

Its not that interesting when you know who the winners are way ahead of time just because of who's there. Like why bother announcing a winner when their very presence basically confirms that they won.

when will people realize that it's the other way around? if they have no award to receive, the award show will probably not be asking them to come in the first place, it will be pointless. you get invited to those shows. it's not like if you want to go, you can just show up without talking to the event organizer.

If some artist came and didn't get any awards, then that's their problem. No one forced them to go

i mean its pretty much obvious that if you're going there theres a big chance you're leaving with some award, otherwise why would you attend just to perform? especially groups that are extremely busy.
