Your right I changed my question thank you

No problem.

To answer your question:

I say talent is something that breaks down a lot of societal barriers. I can definitely foresee more people of mixed Afro-Asian finding sucess in Kpop , plus African-Americans as well. Even in the big 3 companies because a great singer is money in the bank. They see Beyonce in a great light, so why not.

It might take a while longer for African-American idols to catch on. It wasn't easy for Alex. I still think DR Music used her as an exotic token. "Hey look! We have a black girl in our group!" The K-Pop pool is so homogeneous, that their definition of different (or foreign) is still Japanese or Chinese. Alex was an exception to the rule, of course. And even then, she received most of the attention because everyone saw her as exotic. That may or may not have worked in her favor. The real question, is where Alex goes from here. Does she still have a career in K-Pop? If she does, then there's a bright spot for African-American idols. If not, then it proves that she's just an exotic, different idol being used for whatever attention she can get.

P.S. Korean society still looks down on people of color in general, and that's another obstacle. Luckily for Alex, she's light-skinned. Imagine if she was a little bit darker.
