Advice For A Crappy Dancer?

So um, im a very crappy dancer. I am very stiff and uncoordinated. How can I loosen up? How can I get in control of my body? 

Is there any kpop dances that can help me?

 

also i wanted to learn choreography to one of exo's songs, help me find one easy enough to learn.

Apart from practice, practice, practice and watching yourself dance (if you're only learning by yourself) -

 

if there was one thing I was taught about dancing that has stuck with me, it's that if you dance with the mindset that you are owning it - aka with confidence - then you will do better and be more convincing than if you are doubtful or nervous. I did hip-hop for a bit (lulz) and even at the very beginning, this was the most important aspect. It helped me to loosen up and, most importantly, have fun. And during that time, I noticed improvement in actually getting the movement and timing right.

 

Don't dance

This way you'll never embarrass yourself.

If you have access to a full length mirror, use it haha.

I started learning hip hop when I was younger and I was horrible at it and didn't learn much because I was lacking one thing : confidence.

And just pump out your energy haha. 

 

For coordination and precise movements, try practicing it over and over again in front of a mirror. 

Do some warm ups in the beginning, like isolations in front of a mirror.

omg don't even try with exo, I tried to learn exo - history and failed lol

OMG. But learning History was is my dream lol  :stare:

 

Record yourself an play it over someone dancing it properly and see we're you've gone wrong and go from there :)

LOOOOL I tried that before. I took videos of myself doing the dougie and such when it was still a thing. After watching the vid I was convinced that my dance must not be unleashed because nobody can handle my swag  :hurr:

My friend is a good dancer. She mostly does girl group dances tho.  :derp:

Her technique is to learn the hand/upper body movements first, then the footwork, then do it together. And yeah, lots of practice in front of the mirror.

 

May you prosper and reach places no other crappy dancer has reached. And P.S. may we see each other there lol  :hurr:
