[Discussion] If Companies stopped the dating clause

Nah...

If the idol feed the delusion too then what is the point?

Even if they don't feed the delusion and there's no dating clause, there would still be a "dating scandal" because people are curious.

I think for certain people dating scandals have a big affect or if you're GD, who has had 3-5 dating scandals this year, it's a half day news cycle.

I think it's a bigger deal for the crazy akgaes and shippers than for the General public.

Why did I read the title as "IT companies stopped the dating clause"

To answer your question no,  but the media should also stop reporting them as scandals.  Idols and other celebs should stop apologizing for dating when caught and also they should stop feeding fans delusions by saying "xxxxfandom is our love etc." when asked about dating. This will not change anything but could be a start for some delusional people to see the light.

never

dating clauses exist to protect an idol image during their rookie days, and companies do it cause:

- fangirls will never accept that they have spent a lot of money for a man who's sleeping with a girl more beautiful than them.

- fanboys will be mad knowing that female idols are not innocent and pure anymore.

- the company has invested a lot of money to debut the group, so they have to assure the group will earn enough to pay the debut expenses and also provide some profits to the company b4 having a "dating scandal"

the general public is interested in some idols relationships.

when GD broke up with Kiko there were more than 30k people congratulating him - that's too many upvotes for only akgaes and shippers.

Lee Min Ho and Suzy also attracted the general public's eyes. Couples even started dressing like them in dispatch pictures,

i feel like the dating clause is there just to fuel the fantasy/idol possession culture companies want to put out to the consumers. i dont feel that culture would just immediately stop because companies say their idols can date, there are many factors that go into creating that image and relationship between the idols and obsessive fans.

Honestly speaking, this is just a hypocrisy on SK's part.

Just look at how some 'sexy/suggestive' dances/outfits are part of idol group performances..

Why not frown upon them then?

Idols are attractive people so there will be people interested in then in sexual ways. Idols also feed into it by doing fanservices or say their fans are their bf/gf.

It is how the system works. Tho you can desensitized them if more dating comes out even by tabloid that it becomes common. I think fans these days can be more "accepting" of it but a newbie group isn't going to risk it. It's prob more acceptable for older, established idols

I think they get to date when they're at their first comeback. Because some idols already broke the '2 years clause' (idk if true or not)

Why do they feel like they own the idol? Like they do know they know nothing about you.

J.Y.Park : I used to give 5 years to my artists for dating bans, and recently I lessen it to 3 years, just for them to focus on debuting. But its not like any of my artists follows it anyway''

In Japan and South Korea, its  a clause in the idol’s contract that says they are not allowed to date for a period of time.., What the clause says actually is that idols cannot be caught dating. A J-idol and a K-idol can both date, but they must keep it a secret.  Which would bring a whole lot more shit if they were found out.;especialy, to a popular idol
