Idols and Sleep Deprivation

                  I can't Imagine myself sleeping only 2-3 hours a day. I one time try  to do a dare;I was dared to stay awake for 24 hours straight, and I couldn't do it;coffee didn't even help. My body couldn't take, my eyes were blood shot red. I had eventually fell out.

 

I read that our bodies need at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep. Our bodies need time to regenerate and heal it-self. I can't function on just 2 - 3 hours of sleep. I would feel so lethargic.

 

I don't know how these idols do it, but I give them kudos. It's not like they have a choice anyway. I believe all these idols are sleep deprived. Especially during promotions.

 

I've also heard that Koreans think that sleeping more that 3 to 4 hours is a waste of time. wtf? We need sleep, it's a part of life.

 

They sleep anywhere they get a chance to get a shut eye:even if it just for 10 minutes. :._.:

How many hours of sleep do you need to feel rested?

around 5-6 or 7

 

 

but i don't like to sleep much....i found it also a waste of my time but i can't help it""  :._.:

 

However, yes, they must be really tired. To the lack of sleep, add, exercise, poor eating, concerts, practice, and all they have to do.... :SS

they live on a different schedule

instead of sleeping 6 hours at once, they sleep an hour or two at a time (usually driving or between shoots)

of course, it doesn't really replace a good period of sleep, but it's not like they get much less hour wise than the normal person

once i can't sleep for 2 days, but after that i sleep for 12 hours....

 

and now if i sleep less that 5 hours i feel like a zombie and sleepy all the day....

You get used to it. I've gone on four hours of sleep a night for a month a couple of times. I can only do it for a month or I start to have trouble focusing and if I do it longer I usually end up crashing for a day. If I had to I could probably do it for like 3 months max. I've gone longer once and I almost passed out in the middle of art class.

Nothing destroys your health worse than sleep deprivation and not drinking enough water.  The average human trying to like like a kpop idol would burn out horribly.  However, the flip side is that Idols diets are very controlled not only in terms of quality but also calories.  Top that off with their activity level and you have a machine that can sustain ridiculous schedules and still show up smiling at interviews.  Not to say that they can do this indefinitely though, maybe the average lifespan of an idol group is a natural cycle before they wear out.  The people you need to feel sorry for are their managers and entourage that has to keep that schedule with them and not watching their health.

Couple years back,i was working at a fire in L.A and for almost a month i was working about 19 hours a day,with a 1 hour debrief so i had about 4 hours of sleep,on top of the physical aspect of it,came back had 1 day off,crashed super hard,then turned around and went out on a 18 day work hitch in san diego with barely any sleep...came back had about 3 days off,couldn't remember anything because i slept most of the time..left on a 10 day work hitch with barely any sleep..after awhile my body started to break down lol so when i had 6 days off,i think i slept for about 4 days straight in my housing dorm dead to the world lol

I always sleep less than 6 hours.. when I sleep more than that, it didn't make me feel fresher.. sometimes it makes me feel sleepy for the entire day too  :._.:

my longest record of not sleeping is 60hours straight.. and I am unable to sleep before 11.30 p.m. anyway

it really isn't a big deal once u get used to it actually.....

but yeah, I know it would be much healtier to sleep 8hours/day.. but I just can't do it  :unsure:
