Do you ever reunite or reconnect with your childhood friends?

Is it awkward ? Like what the hell do you talk about?

I'm going away for few weeks in about a month and I want to meet up with my old friends but I am scared as to how its going to turn out. I have not seen or spoken to some of them in over a decade! I do have them on social media as friends but we haven't kept in contact.

I'm the type of a person that never reaches out first to a person because I feel like by doing so I am bothering them and taking up their time.

I was thinking about organizing like a dinner or brunch at a restaurant and just going with the flow and seeing how its going to turn out but I am extremely extremely apprehensive and kind scared.

like 3 years ago? I flew down to meet them and thought it'd be hella awkward cuz they were also picking me up from the airport!! Fortunately, we were still comfortable with each other and just talked like old times. Tbh since then i've visited more frequently and felt like we'd be friends for life as disgusting as that sounds.

No, this girl who I was really good friends with who moved away in like third grade is now in two of my classes in college (and I'm sure we'll have more together in the future as we have similar majors) and we've literally said like 5 words to each other, which were not even about the past haha. I mean, maybe if either of us was more outgoing but that's not the case lol

Oh yeah, it happened to me with some childhood friends I hadn't seen in years. It felt pretty awkward with some but at the same time I knew them very well so I wasn't that pressured like if we were strangers so it depends on how you value their friendship in the first place.
