So, even though I still haven't figured out how to breathe properly again after the teaser for Worthless's MV was released yesterday, that couldn't stop me from doing my regular routine of re-watching Mamamoo videos for the nth time, and considering the fact that they call it "Moonbyul - Worthless Performance ", I thought it's only fair if I were to bring up a few of their performances that are absolutely stellar imo for us to watch again in the meantime while we wait for the release of my utter cause of destruction x_x

 

(I intentionally left out title track performances to bring your attention to their other stuff that's all equally awesome and deserves more love <3 )

 

 

A very solid cover of a great song (I might have listened to this version even more than I do the original oop  )

 

(Also, Moonbyul was really feeling it that day with the little dances and giggles; she was so adorable and pretty and cool at the same time  and helloo, vocalist Moonbyul anyone??  )

 

 

 

 

A very simple performance that allows Mamamoo's raw vocals to shine through; but that doesn't mean the little touches of choreography didn't help elevate it 

 

I absolutely adore the first 50 seconds even tho there's really nothing fancy; but I probably might just be biased bc Moonbyul was cool and sharp as a knife doing the little choreographic moves while looking like a statuesque goddess with her side profile 

 

 

 

 

Definitely one of my favourite IS2 performances; the energy is simply just too infectious for the audience (us) NOT to enjoy and move our bodies along

 

Moonbyul's bars here are freaking L.I.T man  this is really her style of performing; it falls in line with her natural tomboyish self perfectly

 

 

 

 

I'm probably not exaggerating too much when I say that this might just be my favourite thing to come out of Yes I Am the era (at least for now  - anticipate Mamamoo's upcoming appearance on IS2 on the 9th of December that promises to be their most epic one yet) 

 

what the freak why was Moonbyul so damn cute that day  being all smiley and giddy and jumpy and playing with my poor, poor fragile fangirl heart 

 

 

 

I'd love to hear from Moomoos, or even non-fans and casual listeners if they're down for it, which performances from Mamamoo have touched and impressed you the most.  Dw if the list is long; we've got the whole day 

(tho I might just have been deceased in about 10 hours from now; just a heads up) ^^'

I love watching them doing radio show XD in that tiny space they so free and such dorks.

Im gonna throw some of my faves as well.

My fave though is quite a hidden gem - its Mamamoo New York Frank Sinatra cover backed by orchestra.

 

for newer one  there is also the yet to be released "Sleep in the car" Picnic Perf

 

on the ballad side its Love.
Them just standing and that haru haru haru harmony - specially at 6:20 part with Wheesun doing background harmony while Hwasa going Haru Haru Haru just give me chills and makes me tear up. 

 

 

 

 

They have so many awesome performances its hard to choose which one is my favorite.

I tend to love, love loooove their performances in big award shows, maybe because I love that we got so many impressed reactions from their colleagues and audience. My favorites would probably be these :

 

 

The girls were hot (HwaByul in suits?? SIGN ME THE F UP!!), vocals and stage presence on point, and in some fancams, people were genuinely shook by their performance. This was when they also won rookie award, and MAMAMOO sure show them why they freaking deserve their award.

 

 

When they started from the audience and got everybody wow-ing, and their stage antics in Decalcomanie made a few of stoic idols in the room excited, this is the quality content I expect from them.

 

 

Collabing with the gender fluid dance group in a big, public broadcast award show? Who would have thought of it? Only MAMAMOO and their company.

These are the ones I loved the most. I've been focusing on other groups more lately but this reminded me why I love MMM so much (aside from the gay XD) The Piano man stage was a BOMB. Also, Sleeping in the car, I'm not the same person after that, I swear TT
