So who do you think won each battle and who did you like overall.

 

Personally for me:

 

Round 1: Stray kids

Round 2: I'd say it's close to a drawl. (I liked Stray kids' vocals better but YG's mix was much cleaner)

Round 3: Stray Kids

btw i think it is a bit disadvantage for sk in vocal team because

 

1. seungmin throat is hurts so he is not joining in

2. jeongin kick out from vocal team by jyp

 

and bang chan must arrange it together with arrange the song for 3 racha performances and other practice as well.

stray kids have better dance technique and choreo delivery so IMO they are vetter dancers. yg kids are good too tho. they might be a little bit equal in this area

Overall Stray Kids 

The first battle, SK members performed a song they wrote composed and produced and put on a great charismatic performance

Dance battle both did well, SK's was more impactful

Vocal, the consensus seems to be the wsl remix was much better but SK put on the better vocal performance

 

That's just my opinion though, congrats to both teams on a great battle!

I'm expecting yg trainees to slay the vocal but it's a disappointment. Too nasal & Bang Yedam seems avoiding high note... what's with YG vocal trainers seriously????

Overall I thought the Stray Kids

Freestyle battle - Stray Kids

Apart from the awesome rapping, they produced, arranged, and wrote the lyrics for their performance.  So extra points for them on this.

 

Vocal - Draw

Base purely on vocal SK did a lot better, but YG kids had a better remix of their song 

 

Dance - Stray Kids

SK showed a lot more variety in their dance performance, and it left a deeper impact 

 

Overall JYP won this battle, but both teams showed great potential, and I'm hoping to see interactions between them when they debut in the future.

1. SK, that rap was a clean sweep, Jisung and Changbin were killing it, and I liked this song
2. YG trainees' song choice is better, but vocals for both teams didn't impress me
3. SK, the transitions were amazing, the choreo and music choices were great

Overall for me SK but the good thing about the YG trainees is that the Millenium boy is gonna take them far in terms of producing and also Yedam has a very good vocal color but shying away from the high notes (I get that he will often have voice cracks at that age so I give him a pass)

I'm pretty impress with his producing skills. He surely does have a great potential.

 

 

I was a bit disappointed with Chan's mix for Stray Kids because he's done better. But I guess given the adjustments they had to make based on JYP's suggestions, he was trying to rush to get a new mix out before hand. I'm sure both groups will put out great music once they debut

Yedam never avoided a higher note, He is very capable of them if you even watched his Solo performance, The arrangement was that way so he just skipped it, It isn't like he can't hit a high note

You can't judge rapping because Raesung is the only rapper in the team, And he didn't showcase it except for the WSL performance

I think YG won tho, Cause IMO Yedam had a more impactful and better performance than 3racha kids did

Maybe because of his natural range he can't hit very high notes. Why you want to force it?. Then people will complain he is straining. Hitting high notes doesn't equal capability as a singer.

They had 4 of their vocalists originally planned for the performance. But his voice wasn't in great condition at the time, so he was ask to sit out on it.

In case of impact I would argue Bang Yedam going viral with the free round equals a win

 

As for dance: it’s a tie as there really isn’t public sentiment on who did better and also styling is hella subjective. Too much aegyo for my taste in stray kidZ dance styling

 

As for vocals: neither chose a good song to showcase vocal ability. AIIYL is one of the easiest songs to sing
