We all know they lipsync at times, but idk why people find it shameful to admit? Their choreography is pretty difficult as it is, expecting them to sing live all the time is unreasonable. They did sing live on Ellen, were a bit shaky, but it was overall a good performance imo.

okay for real like where is this stereotype coming from? Lipsyncing isn't common at all unless its something like the Macy's Day parade where you literally can't sing live since ur on a float that's moving. I mean why do you think Selena got dragged to hell and back at the AMAs until it started spreading that she had a panic attack before her performance. Only reason ppl like Mariah Carey get away with it is because she's considered a legend (but ppl still clown the shit out of her). You get dragged to hell and back when if ur caught lip syncing as live vocals are the norm and expected.

Am I missing something? Why are some people, non-fans and fans, suddenly saying BTS lipsyncs from time to time. When have they ever lipsynced other than those special cover performances they do for year-end festivals?

I've always seen them perform while singing along to the MR or backtracks. That's technically singing live and not lipsyncing, correct?

Well no, US doesn't like singer lip syncing. Even though some of them did it, it usually not well received.

 

We know sometimes BTS lip sync but we also know what Korean broadcasting often do when they need to record a performance plenty of time or those year end cover performances. Heck bands can't even play music instrument live. 

Majority of their performances, BTS sing live with MR, they're known for this since nugu days.

 

However I'm impressed with Ellen's sound system, it should be like this all the time in Korean broadcast when the backtrack is not overlapping the live vocal too much.
