Miryo

Real Name: Jo Mi-hye

Hometown: Seoul, South Korea

Why She's Hot: Miryo rose to prominence in Asia as the fast-spitting rapper of the boundary-pushing K-pop quartet, Brown Eyed Girls—who earned a ton of international attention when PSY featured their famous hip-swinging choreography in his "Gentleman" video last year. Her debut solo EP, MIRYO aka JOHONEY, boasted collaborations with Korean superstars (like Girls' Generation member Sunny on "I Love You, I Love You") and showcased her fiery, Nicki Minaj-esque delivery and attitude on lead single "Dirty."

Miryo's also recognized for her songwriting abilities. In March 2013, it was reported she has credits on 56 songs—the most of any female K-pop star—including BEG's genre-bending "Sixth Sense." Plus, she can spit in both English and Japanese, as proven on "Tonight," a track with her BEG member Narsha and J-pop single "Sign."

Fuse is hardly the most trustworthy source out there but hey, atleast they made a good choice for their mandatory kpop selection.

CL and Yoon Mi Rae were in it last year, btw.

I was thinking, "Yoon Min Rae must have been in it at some point too."

Well, that's nice, I guess, but I wonder what BEG is even going to do this year, or if they'll have more solo activities....

BEG album, M&N mini/album and possibly a solo. Supposedly. M&N were supposed to come back early this year though.

I was about to come in here and shade her, but wow 56. Good job girl.

It's 67 or something like that now. She's been more active with her songwriting in recent years.

Hm, really?  I wonder if the M&N delay is artistic necessity or strategic.  It doesn't seem like Nega has been distracted by any of their other groups for sure....

Nega doesn't seem to do much. With that said Narsha works with SNL and has drama roles and JeA is currently in South America. Since NN is affiliated with LOEN the composers they use might be busy wih their new group. Which would really only leave JeA as Miryo hasn't composed much.

Some of y'all need to stop dragging CL and her fans in everything and then saying we're butthurt. We have no reason to be butthurt our bias was on that list last year, out bias is making money, doing what she loves, traveling, touring, doing CFs, producing, writing, preparing an album, meeting relevant people. Why should we be butthurt over anything.

Anyways congrats to Miryo for getting some shine.
