[DISC] Are TWICE's and BP's stage outfits uninspired?

this topic isn't about rather or not they have pretty outfits just to clarify

 

 

looking at their outfits, as nice as they, the stylists of both groups seem to carry out a similar style throughout each era

 

TWICE had a distinctive look during LOA and CU but ever since TT their outfits seem to be along the spectrum of preppy girl outfits (mini skirt + tight/crop sweater combo) with their stylist just changing the color and pattern

 

BLACKPINK's stylist just seems to give them Gucci all the time...looking at their stage outfits you would think they're all from the same era

 

 

the question isn't if this is an issue or not or if the outfits are bad...just is it uninspired?

 

 

also i want to add that im not trying to be shady or rude...it's just something that popped in my mind when watching their lives yesterday

Those outfits are suppose to make your proportions look better. It makes it seem like they have tiny waist and long legs. They don't have much of a choice.

edit: also since this is a disc on stage outfits and you bought up rv, im curious to see your view on why their stage outfits are also uninspired? 

 

rather or not you find them appealing, when it comes to the question on originality and creativity, rv does pretty well...each era has been distinct

i guess they are, but i honestly prefer that the stylists play it safe rather than try way too hard at being "creative" and "innovative" like certain sm stylists have the tendency to do

I like TWICE's outfits. I feel like their stylist gets them to wear clothes that emphasise parts of their bodies that really stand out because of how beautiful they are. For example, Sana - feminine shoulders, Jihyo - chest, Tzuyu/Jungyeon - long legs, Momo - abs etc.

Twice's outfits for Signal were boring overall but I like most of the outfits from the other eras. Likey era is especially good!

Lol, if you're talking about Blackpink, these photos are from their promotions during summer/autumn and it's not like they were performing outside.

and that's probably why they think twice and bp's outfits are uninspired.

 

whether you like them or not, it's very evident that each era has a different style. you couldn't mistake what red velvet wore during happiness for what they wore during red flavor or ice cream cake. the outfits for the eras are pretty distinct from each other.

 

as pretty as bp's outfits are, there isn't much distinction from era to era. twice is better at this distinction but fell-short during TT & signal -- don't know what made the stylist pair such interesting concepts of halloween and superpowers with strangely layered clothing and boring school uniforms.

I guess that you can say they're uninspired, since they follow a certain style/pattern. I don't follow Twice but I would say that in Blackpink's case their concepts are just more general (like the music style is similar), so the styling has less variety too. I'm curious how their next comeback will look though and if they will experiment more and do something different.

And I guess to answer your question, yeah? A bit. And don't u all neg me BC I am a Blink and a ONCE as well, but I think I understand what OP is saying. Because their outfits could kind of be swapped from era to era and u wouldn't be able to tell. Especially with BP. But actually Signal era for Twice had those school uniform type outfits. And TT era had those weird sheet-like outfits.

 

But Likey and KK era are really similar
