why there's need to be a reason for someone to hate?

most people feeding the trolls are just looking for opportunities to bash

I feel like there would be less fan wars if people just said that they hate a certain group

instead of being messy and finding unnecessary justifications

bashing would stop and constructive criticism would rise from the dead

don't you think?

dislike =/= hate

you can dislike a certain group and that's okay but hating on them with no justification?

Because there always is a reason? You're just not willing to admit. Ie jealousy?

Your proposal would only fuel the fire as trolls do a shit job at finding a 'reason' already. Imagine if they were given a free pass to spew that shit without any second thought lmao. That would be like allowing those camping in the bashing thread to permanently move to the non-inflammatory sections of OH

Or have I misread?

Why would you hate someone without reason?

And no.... saying you hate a certain group would not somehow make constructive criticism rise.  Isn't that based on reasoning?

it would because most of the time when someone tries to criticise a group

without it being bashing fans would immediately attack said person saying that their bashing

bashing is based on hate, thus if those who bash just said that they hate a group

instead of trying to give arguments as to why they hate said group

it would seperate them from those are genially trying to start a conversation

what I mean by reason is people who bash for example Exo saying that they're flops, or bash their rap line or whatever

yeah but I do agree that the under lying reason is probably jealousy or something else I don't know

I noticed that most people who bashed my favs (read SM groups) are either ex fans and previous gen group fans

what I was trying to say in op is people should admit that they hate those groups because of the way they personally feel about them

which generally isn't seen as a real justification because it is not based off objective reasons but subjective ones

thus they'll try to find something to nitpick about the group and create messes

Criticism arises from a point of desire to see the topic/person being critiqued improve - which is diametrically opposed to hate. Also, dislike comes from a justifiable cause, like an issue like racism, homophobia etc. you cannot forgive or even plain distaste eg. nasal voiced singing. Hate is comparatively such a terribly serious word.

hate is such a strong and unhealthy emotion and i don't see why we should encourage such a thing with no reason?

but i wish people in OH would learn to be more open to criticism against theirs faves and opposing opinions. the amount of sensitivity and defensiveness is getting ridiculous and it is very stifling how we can't express the most basic negative opinions about a song or a performance without getting personal attacks thrown back at us. this dependability on and need for validation from others' opinions is very unhealthy.
