Night Shyamalan was the director (that man has been on my shit list since The Village and let's not even talk about the fiasco that was The Last Airbender movie SMDH) I actually expected it to be horrible. The storyline was interesting and after getting over the interesting accents, Will and Jaden's acting was good... It was interesting all around. The storyline was interesting and after getting over the interesting accents, Will and Jaden's acting was good... It was interesting all around. I agree, the movie was a pleasant surprise considering Shyamalan's track record as of late. The acting and plot were decent, and I think Jaden Smith did well for his young age. The beginning was awks and some of will's lines came off strained-sounding but that was more the script then anything else. Jaden's acting was great though, he's definitely improved.
