1. [+924, -80] Ramsay hyung... we know you're lying when you say Korean beer is delicious ㅜ

2. [+631, -25] Gordon Ramsay's fame started a boom in the popularity of Korean chefs here too. He also benchmarked the idea of being a vicious critic. Most of the early Korean food shows had vicious critics although they've been watered down for the most part now. A lot of the chefs at the time tried hard to mimic Gordon Ramsay by looking down on their juniors and anyone below them in status. It wasn't until chefs like Baek Jong Won who came out with the more soft ajusshi image that diversified everything. Before, it truly was a sh*t show between chefs to see who could copy Gordon Ramsay better... you can't ignore his influence in the Korean food TV world.

3. [+583, -29] He has 11 Michelin stars... there's no chef in Korea who can contend against him

4. [+48, -6] I actually know a lot of foreigners who enjoy Korean beer

5. [+46, -3] I live overseas too and foreigners say that Korean beer is delicious. Australians are quite known for enjoying wine and beer and when I give anyone 'Cass', they normally enjoy it. There's a popular beer brand here called 'Iron Jack' that Australians have been liking and it's similar to 'Cass' in the way that it goes down. It's not completely crazy that Gordon Ramsay actually likes Korean beer... My Australian boss doesn't understand why Koreans hate their own beer.

6. [+44, -1] He likes Korean beer because it doesn't overpower the taste of food. Honestly, with his temper, I would expect him to turn down the CF if he really didn't like the taste of it.

7. [+33, -1] Gordon Ramsay has always liked beers like 'Budweiser' that don't overpower the taste of food. Korean beer is lighter to complement the heavier flavors of our cuisine, which is right up his alley. Don't play dumb, you all drink 'Cass' with your late night samgyupsal...

8. [+24, -2] Anyone hating Korean beer is just trying to look special by saying foreign beer is better. Korean beer is decent...

9. [+17, -1] Foreigners usually like Korean beer, it's always the Koreans who are putting it down...

10. [+15, -0] I remember they did a blind test on beer to foreigners and 'Cass' won #1. Koreans are just too biased against our own beer that we actually believe it.

I like most of the standard Korean beers too, I didn't know they were so disliked, lol. I guess it's just because it's what they're used to. Japanese beer is also to my taste. both countries just have satisfying light beers that go well with food rather than heavy, complex brews that are meant to be drunk by themself. god damn it I want a beer

I had Hite Extra Cold quite recently, liked it and recced it to my boss. He also liked it, and he's the pickiest ever when it comes to food.

Korea has a lot of good cuisine things going for them. Don't be too elitist, instead think positively and have pride
