Would you rather your faves underperform but release a song you love or would you rather they be super successful with a song you hate?

1st option, underperform but release a song i love

of course i want them to have another successful hit but my fav group has established their brand long time ago so if they flop in charts now idc that much. They're already rich & successful (even individually) and keep making profits for the company with touring and other stuffs ohdearplz.png

but that's my own opinion

How much are they “underperforming

Because if that means “flopping†like Likey, PAB or Love Whisper, then I choose that.

The music always comes first for me, I can’t really get into groups anymore if that is missing. Maybe it’s a bit selfish but as long as underperforming doesn’t equal on the brink of disbanding, then give me music, please. If a group would keep releasing songs I hate then I wouldn’t love the group anymore, so what would be the point?

I think it depends on how stable the group is. If they have other sources where they get lots of money (their own concert, CFs) and digitally they've been strong, then I would choose the former. If they were one of those groups that needed decent digital sales to get invited to outdoor concerts and they weren't stable in popularity then I would choose the latter.

Underperform with a song I like

SNSD got bank so I wouldn't have to worry about them not being paid well if the song flops. I just need my girls and their music and performances and I'm happy. They could sell 4 albums and I'd have bought all 4.
