redheart 7,440 Posted November 20, 2017 Share Posted November 20, 2017 I leave far away from my family and I don't get to celebrate christmas with them, just my sister I can't see my friends because they are with their own families plus it's cold af, and winter break is always stressful because after the break there are mid term exams and I can't fully relax I mean I was able to contain it up until now but I'm starting to hate christmas with such passion simply hearing merry christmas makes me cringe and it's worse when I see people that actual enjoy this time of year, or when my friends drag me to go shopping for gifts and don't get me started on christmas songs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think most adults start to get overwhelmed by it eventually. there's a lot of planning to do and things to finish and people to placate... no need to hold it against people who wish you well for it though, you don't know what other people are going through either and celebrating Christmas might be a comforting respite for them. nobody's hurting you by being nice. don't become a Scrooge Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
