Since 2017 is almost at an end who do you think out of JYP / YG & SM came out on top.

JYP has Twice who are trendy to the public and then they have 2pm and Got7 making serious money on tours.

SM's most public friendly group this year was probably Red Velvet, the girls summer comeback was a hit. They also have Exo making money all over the place and NCT are slowly but surely gaining a fandom. Their biggest girl group did however split up.

YG. Big Bang released solo music, went on tour as a 4some and 2 of the members had their own world tours. Winner had a hit early on in the year, Ikon have been touring and they've also got Black Pink.

I think financially, with all the touring and the fact that 2 songs count as an album, YG may have made more money but when it comes to relevancy, they've taken a hit over the years. Unlike the other companies, YG doesn't have a 2nd generation group that dominates, like Exo for SM and Twice for JYP.

None of them dominated the others but things look best for SM imo.

SM:

Positives: TVXQ back form the army, EXO keep getting more popular, RV became a top group, SuJu comeback, Onew was in a massive hit drama, Taeyeon keeps doing well

Negatives: SuJu scandals, some SNSD members left, Onew scandal

YG:

Positives: Winner had a hit, BlackPink also had a hit, PSY's hit album, iKon's touring success

Negatives: Big Bang are starting to enlist, TOP's scandal, Taeyang's album didn't do well

JYP:

Positives: Twice's Japanese success, Got7 becoming more popular, Suzy being successful

Negatives: Twice didn't really keep up the momentum of CU and TT, 2PM are enlisting

Personally I'd say JYP
Not only did they ensure that Twice secure their place as the top girl group of this generation but they've also managed to get Twice to unpredictable heights as a top Korean export in the J-Pop market. Twice have sold over 500k albums in Japan in half a year and that's just insane the more you think about it. The only other group that can pull those numbers is BTS.
Also, GOT7 have been doing really well with tours and have seen really good growth in album sales.
DAY6 have managed to get their name known among international fans and had a successful North American tour.

SM and YG also did really well though

we can hate YG all we want

but GD's solo and world tour results alone were remarkable ... along with the japanese BB tour and Fxxk it promo .

JYP will do even better if he maintained the hard work and Stray kids did better

If Stray Kids did better? They haven't debuted yet...
