If a^2, b^2 and c^2 form an AP, that means that they have a common difference, i.e.

b2−a2=c2−b2b2−a2=c2−b2. Now try to rearrange it into this form: b−ca+b=a−bb+cb−ca+b=a−bb+c. Once you have obtained this form, it becomes a process of manipulating the result to prove that there is also a constant difference between each term of the new sequence.

Here is the first step in the manipulation: b−c+a−aa+b=a−b+c−cb+cb−c+a−aa+b=a−b+c−cb+c

.Another hint is to multiply by (a+c) in the denominator of both sides, and group them into pairs.
