Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc are all blocked there. One of the reasons I don't like going back to visit my relatives, I feel so cut off from the rest of the world. Also because they have Youku, Tudou, etc., from China which means they have no foreign competition. Same with no Google but Baidu dominating in China. The apologist excuse I hear from many Chinese as to why Chinese people are not allowed to go on YT goes something like, "Can you imagine 700 million Chinese people commenting on videos all in Chinese?! Digital, big data, Internet of Things (IoT), etc that involving Internet have huge economic potential. Why keep feeding USA's company when China itself can powered by their own video websites, search engine, media social etc. Facebook is trying everything to enter the market, so does amazon (now China has Alibaba). Censoring content is just excused. USA also has problem with this thing. But the real problem is something else. Currently USA government is afraid of many startup, financed by Russia that enter USA market.
