that scene where Donghoon's friends and brothers walk Jian home was so heartwarming. I did feel like I was crying at one moment because it was so touching, but couldn't really cry because the scene was so warm. That scene reminded me of all the genuinely nice people I've met in my life, and I felt so grateful for having met them. I love this drama so much huhuhu

I felt so sorry for Gwangil too, even though he's a horrible human being. While Jian definitely does not have to apologize for killing his dad because that man was the definition of human trash and all evil things I can think of, I do think she should say sorry to him for taking his father away from him while he was still a young kid. Noone deserves to have their parents killed. I'd like to believe that deep down he knows her actions were justified, and that his father was no angel, but he couldn't get over the fact that someone killed his parent too, hence his hatred towards Jian and him growing up to be this violent, ruthless person

When you try to be a journalist:

‘’ Fans Flooded IU with Praise for Her Recent Emotional-Heartbreaking Crying Scene on [My Ahjussi]

During the April 25th episode of tvN's ongoing drama, 'My Ahjussi,' IU impressed viewers with her crying scene when she had to bid goodbye to her grandmother who passed away. Park Donghoon (played by Lee Sungyun) tried to comfort her by saying that he would come to the funeral.â€

What ticked me off is the wife, the wife and the ceo rent an apartment together. Everytime both of them finished their work, they went to the apartment and live like a 'happily' married couple. After they spend a night together, having sex, or drinking wine, the wife will return to her apartment like nothing just happen. twitch.gif

I might understand that she looking for affection, and she fell neglected but do it such thing, commit an adultery is too much.

I hope there is a flashback where the wife and the ceo first time met.

I think they first met at the university.

The president asked how DH and the CEO met, and they said that it was in a western music club or something, and the president asked if they joined the club because of a girl, and DH and the CEO exchange looks.

I think that's how they all met, but the drama didn't confirm it.

I mean, how did the affair started, from the drama both the wife and the Ceo started their affair last spring. That about a year ago. She having an affair for the whole year. souleyesplz.png

the reason why I want a flash back scene because I need to know how lonely she is that she is willing to commit an adultery.

I tried to sympathize the wife, but I feel more sympathized for DH. because for me DH do feel ashamed of himself, because his wife make more money than him. One of the episode flash back, DH mom told DH to quickly get promoted because it have to do something with standardized. a husband should provide more to his family. something like that.

DH already lower his pride in front of his wife, everytime DH got home he will make sure the house is clean so his wife can rest. and I do believe that how he appreciated his wife.

Now the wife found out she just been used by the Ceo. When Ji an show the wife the voice record when the Ceo said something 'having an affair with married women is something every man want, because those women would never exposed their infidelity' something like that, the look at her face.twitch.gif

I agree. The writing for this drama is definitely great so far, but there are some things that could have been improved on. Like a bit more backstory and flashbacks (as you said) on how the wife's loneliness led her to start the affair in the first place. Although she's said that she felt neglected and secondary to her husband's mother/brothers, I would have sympathized with her if we were shown a bit of her struggles.

Some of the character development of the side characters  and their relationships with other characters could have been better as well (i.e. the eldest brother and his wife, Jian and Gwangil's/Kibum's past, the monk and Jung Hee, etc.). There is still a little over 5 hrs left of this drama, so they'll surely address some of these. Really curious how the ending will be.

This is still (unbiased) one of the best dramas to come out of SK. I was watching some clips of Baeksang Arts Awards and I hope that the cast and crew are deservedly recognized next year for putting out such a quality production. So happy for  Secret Forest's wins because that was another masterpiece.

Make me wonder, what the back story between Jung-Hee and the monk. As far as I know, the monk became the monk for over 10 years, and somehow the monk decision to become a monk broke Jung-hee's hearts.

While Gi-Hoon's character and Nara character is dealing with South Korea's entertainment industry. For example, some director and producer purposely hiring a bad actor or actress just so they (director and producer) can throw them (actor/actress) under the bus. I realized this after Gi-hoon confronted Nara's drama director, he said something " You drama didn't succeed, not because of a bad actor or actress because you knew, you have a bad script don't blame the actor or actress ". It's reminds me of about Kpop's idols turn to act in Kdramas, which most of these idols always get the blames for failling to attract audiences.

Some people labelled the wife, Yoon-Hee as a selfish person. I might agree on that, both DH and YH are dealing with loneliness. How did they dealing with the loneliness is polar opposites. DH continued his life by working the company he might hate and try to make his wife comfortable as possible after a long day at work, while YH choose to have an affair with DH's boss. After YH found out she just been used by the CEO, she breakdown into tears. saying something ' I'm so humiliated and how I supposed to go? ' Her original plans are to get divorce from her husband and live 'Happily' with the CEO.She cries not because she felt ashamed of her husband, but she found out she just being used.

She meant nothing to the CEO, she even knew back in college that the CEO is a faker, the CEO just a nobody who acted like he's from a rich family. And still, she falls for that.

I haven't watch Secret Forest but I'm planning to. So looking forward toward that.

So happy they are going on a vacation.

They need to rest

The ratings are bugging me tbh

Although the drama is on tvN but it deserves a lot better

Same. I think this drama deserves to hit 10% at least.

But to put things in perspective, even the most popular/talked about drama currently airing (Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food) is only pulling in in the 5% range. And another drama that also has the trio of a good writer, director, and cast (Live) also pulled in around 6-7% for the most part. I think it's good enough that My Mister is doing better than 2/3 of public network dramas in its time slot. TV drama ratings this year are on the downfall in general, I guess.

My hope is that My Mister will win big at next year's Baeksang Arts Awards. The three big winners for dramas this year (Secret Forest, Misty, and Mother) didn't hit double digit in ratings either but were unanimously praised for their quality, as is My Mister. I'm rooting for Lee Sun Kyun to win the daesang tbh. Someone mentioned that not only is this IU's life project, but this could be considered as LSK's life project as well, and I agree. I haven't seen all of his works ofc and he's always been considered a good actor, but his performance here and the nuance in his acting is on another level. He deserves it.

Also rooting for Director Kim Won Seok of course (we all know how incredible he is).

IU also deserves to be nominated for an excellence award. Remember when knetz (and inetz) were saying how she wouldn't be able to pull of such a tough, gritty anti-heroine because of her "bright, innocent" image and judgment based on one performance (Scarlet Heart Ryeo) lol? laugh.png She really outdid herself here. For the most part, netizens (who aren't antis) have done a complete 180 in their view of IU’s acting skills. So proud of her.

I totally agree with everything you said.

And I really hope IU won't be overlooked this time cause she's done an amazing performance. Without bias but she acted better than a lot of actors people praise

We are used to her being overlooked in every kind of award show but this time, NO

dont go ahead of yourself, there are plenty of big drama ahead and lots of veteran come back this year. my mister is good but its not ground breaking. My mister is something similar to Tunnel last year. Tunnel was so good but it wasnt Signal and Secret Forest is miles better. IU does well in this role but it has a lot to do with well written script.
