My software didnt have a text option so I couldn't watermark the video directly, my name is in the description of the first video and at the end of the last video. From Demian to "Those Who Walked Away From Omelas," BTS songs and music videos are full of literary references. Because I love to read, I decided to create a video that includes references to literature, similar to what would be in a BTS music video. I have put the references in a spoiler below. The theme of my video is 'temptation.' Jin is Melmoth the Wanderer, forced to walk the world in search of someone to take on the burden of eternal life. While on this quest, he meets the six other members of BTS. RM is Woland in Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita. RM represents the devil in the video, tempting and tormenting and bringing out the worst in others. Jungkook is Dorian Gray, who gives up his soul for the gift of eternal youth. Yoongi is the composer in the novel Doktor Faustus. He gives up his soul in exchange for perfect musical creativity. Taehyung is a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde character. He has a split personality, and one of his halves is evil. Hoseok is Esther Greenwood, from The Bell Jar, who struggles with depression and mental health treatment. Jimin is Lila, the titular character and a very mysterious person. The music is by Dimitri Shostakovich, and has been featured in films such as Eyes Wide Shut, which also features the theme of temptation.
