What happened to B.A.P?

They were really promising. They were like the rivals of EXO.

Imo, they were like BTS because a lot of I-fans stanned them.

It's just sad they started to went downhill because of their controversy with their agency TS Ent.

Scew TS Ent!! If they continued supporting them 100% They could have been successful.

A lil throwback, this was my favorite song from them.

Yeah it sucks and their agency continues to screw up any chance of gaining fame as well. I guess Yongguk has received several offers to go on various popular variety shows but TS refused them because the entirety of the money would've gone to Yonguuk and not the agency.

Their new songs are still dope though

Got screwed over by TS along with Secret. rlytearpls.png

BAP were my workout jam! One Shot and Warrior! Man those songs were dope!

ikr!! Secret was soaring on 2011 with Shy Boy, Starlight Moonlight and Love is Move.

But the following year, TS sent them to Japan.. like srsly.. They should've struck the iron while it's stil hot

They're still making great music and are currently recording for another album apparently. Daehyun is in two musicals now, Youngjae is a fixed MC and Himchan is preparing his own solo song :)

Also y'all should check out Noir, Rose and Blue albums bc they are really quality top notch masterpieces

"They were like BTS because a lot of I-fans stanned them." Nah, if anything they more were like KARD - mostly hyped up. How much did i-fans support them really?

C/p my post from another thread for people, who are wrong, claim that BTS stole their fans.

BAP didn't go on hiatus until Oct. 2014. They released a full album, First Sensibility, in Feb. 2014. They also released a single album in June that year.

BTS released their EP, Skool Luv Affair, in Feb. 2014. That was Boy In Luv era which gained them momentum. So way before BAP's hiatus.* They also released their first full album on Aug. 2014. Overall, BTS outsold BAP by ~100k in 2014.

Boy In Luv ended up becoming more relevant than than BAP's entire discography and still has relevancy in 2017.

BAP's hype died down when they were no longer considered Exo's rivals in 2013. BAP had 5 releases in 2012 alone, yet their fan base growth wasn't significant. So how exactly did BTS steal their fans???

they said TSent. overworked them and they weren't getting paid so the lawsuit.  Kind of their fault to go back to the same label.

they wanted to go to another company but they didn't want to lose their name... (i mean... new label means new name, new fandom name, ect.) it was a hard decision for them and they were depressed about this.
their name and their fandom means a lot to them so settling with TS was the best solution...

Ok I believe that you care lol. The answer is TaeSong arrogance and kpop fandoms has ruined (for the 1st) and abandoned (for the latter one) them. People like you keep making threads like that when deep down they are just mocking the situation.

This is like the third thread I’ve seen this comment in and not only is it inaccurate, it’s not even relevant to what OP said lol. First of all, I-fans have always supported B.A.P, that’s the reason they were able to have world tour after world tour all these years. It can even be argued that their international fandom is larger than their Korean one atm. So yes, I-fans did and do support them. Now for the comment itself:

1. “BAP had 5 releases in 2012 alone, yet their fan base growth wasn't significant.†??? B.A.P’s fandom (both Korean and international) was one of biggest for the rookie groups of that time BECAUSE of all of those releases. They were considered Exo’s rivals for a reason.

2. It’s true B.A.P’s hype died down after Exo blew up, but their fandom and fandom growth was still steady. First Sensibility (released in 2014) is their best selling album to date and they even received their first music show wins for 1004. While it’s definitely true Bts were on the come up prelawsuit, you’re downplaying B.A.P’s fandom at that time.

3. B.A.P’s hiatus caused fans to leave for more active groups at the time like Got7, Winner, and (wait for it) Bts. People who blame Bts as the sole reason they lost fans and popularity are wrong, but there’s no denying B.A.P lost fans to Bts.

Please stop posting this comment everywhere lol. Like I said before, it’s really inaccurate.

BAP's 2015 album, released after their hiatus, didn't sell that much less than First Sensibility. There's only like a 5-6k difference. 🤔 Seems like not a significant amount of fans left at that time, but their hype was dying/dead and growth was stunt.

BTS has lost/are losing fans due to their fandom itself, change in musical style, massive popularity, etc. and those fans are going else where. All groups lose fans to others. Yet BTS is always exclusively brought up when it comes to BAP's lack of popularity. It would be more understandable if BTS actually 'blew up' in 2014 w/ the rock/hip hop sound they were doing then instead of blowing up w/ a more pop/mainstream sound (a sound BAP doesn't really even do). 🤔

B.A.P has actually done a variety of musical genres (pop included), so that’s not an accurate statement either lol.

Anyway, reason Bts is always brought up in regards to B.A.P is because both groups shared similar concepts, not music styles. They were both hip hop based groups from small companies that talked about societal issues (something very unique at the time). Because of this, the two were often compared and Bts was even accused of “copying†them back in the day. Even now, people shade the boys by saying “B.A.P did it first!!1â€.

The people who solely blame Bts are either misinformed or straight up antis that use B.A.P as an excuse to bash. But like I previously said, there’s no denying B.A.P lost fans to Bts. I’ve been a fan of both since the beginning(ish) and have literally watched Babyz I followed become Armys lol.
