omg. the songggg ;; god I'm finally sane enough to talk about it normally LOL. It took me some time to recover after my first listen tbh.  

 

For some reason it feels like it's the first time I've heard Jimin actually sing..? Like, ok, yes there's Lie, WDTA cover, and ofc he has a good amount of lines in their group songs, but this song... THIS is the song where I feel like I can actually hear his vocal color. 

And I FUCKING LOVE IT. I probably said this before, but I can say it with confidence now. Even if he's not considered the "best vocalist" of BTS, he definitely has that one of a kind vocal, or at least one I've never heard before. It's so soft even when he's singing in high tones. It has this lil lilt too... and I love it when he kinda "purrs" into his notes, if you know what I'm talking about.

 

 

Put this in spoiler cos I don't want to offend any stubborn OT7 fan/this might seem selfish(?) of me but, I honestly wish he gets to do more solo activities in the future bc his voice is the type that I just want to listen to every single fucking day. 

 

 

I'm surprised he was the one who did the vocal arrangement too? It really goes well with the beat~ 

I especially love the way he sings "그냥 ê·¸ëƒ¥" (just just) and "ë‚œ 네 삼색 ê³ ì–‘ì´" (I'm your calico cat) part. Nams is an absolute genius for writing it and Jimin is also a genius for singing it how he did (': 

 

I recommend listening to the song with proper speakers, cos holy shit. The quality between just my laptop's sound system vs. my speaker set is SO different, and so much better. Idk how it is with earphones/headphones since I don't have those lol (broke my old ones and haven't found the time to buy new ones) but there were little parts of the song that I haven't heard with just my laptop. It's worth listening to with a good sound system ;;

 

ANYWAYS omfg. Jimin's visuals in the mv? He's so fucking beautiful, as always.

the ê·¸ëƒ¥ 그냥 is so fucking catchy too! after one listen it stuck. when i had it on tonight all my friends around me were asking wtf i was listening to cause they kept hearing it over and over haha

 

YES TO PROPER SPEAKERS OR HEADPHONES. you can get proper lost in the song and pick out all the back vocals and instruments.

 

dont even get me started on the MV. soft, thats all i have to say about it.

(for real tho, his BEAMING smile when he sings the let me ‘just let me love you’ part - even if its just a split second *clutches chest dramatically*
