This probably isn't what you want, but yesterday I saw a woman on the bus who was almost certainly in a abusive relationship. She had bruising all over her face around her eyes and the way she responded to the man she was with reminded me of when I was in an abusive relationship and had to carefully calm him down. The man kept getting irrationally angry at things on the bus. And I didn't know what to do. Should I have said something to her? What if that caused her to be more unsafe? What if the man really was just having a bad day and her injuries were due to something else?
