Last time Asians performed at the AMAs (and it's not Psy)

I don't think so. American is highly racist

I mean BTS is not a cartoon, it's not like the chinese chicken lady, it's not Psy, it's not the "pen pineapple apple pen" guy, they sell because their songs are good, they look flawless, they dance better than any western artist; anyone who doesn't know BTS will be surprised and won't know what to do other that to become an ARMY

Even though you said so, American still won't take bts's serious even they had good music. American usually didn't like non English song cause they don't know the language (except the viral songs such as gangnam style or despacito).

The AMAs stage for Chopstick Brothers is obviously weak and lackluster.

The Little Apple song is literally China's trend song in 2014/15, and well-known in most Chinese speaking countries.

It's music influences is a mix of folk song + pop song + cheeky fun. The cheeky fun factor was negatively twisted by AMAs' performance stage design. Think AMAs team is too unfamiliar with this type of song nature to do it justice.

Hopefully with kpop groups performance which have closer influences of pop-culture music styles, AMAs will be able to design better performance stages/setup.

Little Apple song was like the national trend song in China with people from 3 yrs - 80 yrs old singing it.
