That's why I wasn't surprised with the news. When Sports Seoul said they have a scoop on Khun, I said "That's probably a confirmation of his relationship with Tiffany." The rest of her thanks to was written in Korean and a few English lines. That part was the longest English note she wrote and considering Khun have been in Korea for like a year at that time, he probably wasn't fluent with the language yet. I always thought Korean classes were held within the company, so all the SM trainees would learn Korean together and stuff but i think if you want to improve better going to korean class outside will help you than in a company with 20+ students/trainees.
