AMAs ticketing team didn't expect sales to boost this much after BTS performance announcement

This comes after the news 4000 tickets were sold within 24 hours after the BTS performance announcement.

A fan trying to buy tickets got this response that processing her tickets will take a while longer due to the ticketing team not expecting the surge to be like this.

Lol at the ticketing team sounding confused on why a BTS performance announcement  made the sales rise ("Have you seen them perform before?")

It's a pretty big deal to sell that much considering ticket prices range from $375 - $1500, which aren't common US concert prices.

Anyone who frequents music channels in Korea or the US sees the name BTS at least twice a day. So it's highly unlikely that organizers for a music event that they will be at didn't see this coming.

The organizers WILL DEFINITELY know but ticketing teams are usually outsourced (not part of the organizers, but assigned to a company that handles ticket services)

Example of ticketing teams are ticketmaster, axs, ticketek.

Oh crap, you're right. I didn't even catch that - thought it was referring to the organizers. Thanks.
