you have to rest and eat nutritious

 

spread out three days of weight training like: Monday, Wednesday, Friday working different muscle groups each time so that your muscles get at least a week of rest.

 

don't cardio on your weight train days

 

leave your weekends free

 

don't eat sugar.

 

you'll still feel sore but not unbearably sore.  PLUS the gain comes during the recovery, don't break your body down so hard.
